Yeah, that was great.

Everything was good, Tebow/Sanchez, Romo, Cutler... I loved it all.

Leslie Frazier confirms no suspension for Harrison Smith. Somehow, he also won't be fined. Wow.

Redskins working out at least 3 Ks on Tues (Olindo Mare, Josh Brown and Kai Forbath) and looking at LS as well. More ahead @CBSSports.com

It was a stupid thing to do but not worthy of a suspension. A bit surprised he isn't getting fined.

That's really surprising, considering what a well behaved guy he was in University...

It was Adderall, which busted a couple other guys this year already, guess he didn't go about getting it prescribed or whatever the right way....

Of course it was.

PFT might be onto something with the article they wrote a little while ago about Adderall being the perfect excuse whenever a player gets busted for anything. The NFL isn't allowed to publicly comment or reveal any details so the players can say whatever they want. Even if they took steroids and lie about it, the NFL can't call them on it for legal reasons.

This is the third Giants player and third player from the University of Florida who has said he failed the drug test because of Adderall. Only one of them actually had a prescription and had his suspension lifted.

Quote:
@RapSheet: Brandon Spikes, Will Hill, Joe Haden -- 3 former U of Florida guys suspended for using Adderall. I don't know if that means anything.
Quote:
@espn_nfceast: I mean, are we really supposed to believe the Giants have that many guys being treated for ADD?

PanthersPens will at this...Dolphins owner playing GM.

http://www.sun-sentinel.com/sports/m...,3787771.story

Quote:
Joe Philbin might not believe in the concept of an alpha receiver, but his boss still wants one.

That was one of the main takeaways from Miami Dolphins owner Steve Ross’ recent townhall meeting with team employees, according to a source who was in attendance.

Ross, the source said, called the acquisition of a true No. 1 receiver the team’s “top offseason priority.”

Brian Hartline, a prospective free agent who leads the NFL in receiving yardage, is not that type of talent, Ross told Dolphins employees. Nor is Davone Bess.

That’s why the team will do “whatever it takes” to add a frontline pass-catching talent for Ryan Tannehill as he enters his second season in the league. That could include packaging some of the five top-100 selections the Dolphins have stockpiled in the 2013 draft, employees were told.
Quote:
The last time Dolphins employees were told in such a setting that a top-shelf receiver was a leading priority, the team soon after acquired Brandon Marshall from the Broncos in April 2010 and gave him a $50 million contract.

They want a true #1 WR ,, I could have swore the Dolphins had one of those and dumped him for two 3rd rounders

Yeah, pretty much what BWC said. I actually do think they could use more help at WR despite the torrid starts by Bess & Hartline. But Ross does earn a for again interfering in the "football business" aspect of the team. Honestly between him & Loria, we are in sportsfan hell here. The 2 of them need to be locked in a room with Heat owner Mickey Arison, so that The Mick could teach those 2 clowns how to run a successful sports franchise.

49ers vs. Jaguars will be next year's London game. Well, at least I now know that 0-16 isn't a possibility for the 49ers next year.

@AdamSchefter: Bucs CB Aqib Talib has been suspended four games, starting Sunday vs. KC, for using Adderall. Talib does not plan to appeal his suspension.

This is why the Dolphins will never be serious contenders for anything, any time soon

Adderall again
There comes a point when a team just has has to say enough is a enough and release a player

Bears did it with Tank Johnson , Titans did it with Pacman , etc , etc

If I was Bucs ownership I would cut ties ,, Talib has been nothing but a headcase off field and this suspension is just :

Talented player but his talent doesn't outweight the negaitive aspects

It is extremely stupid that the NFL Has to cater to the younger generation and have Beyonce allegedly do the halftime show this year. Stop putting new stars on stage, and bring back the legends.

It's no coincidence that Springsteen, McCartney, and The Who had 3 of the best halftime shows in the 2000's. Even Tom Petty, American rock legend, contributed to a great show. The last 3 shows (if you include this Beyonce one) will have been abominations. The one last year was so bad I didn't bother watching. The one before last year was awful. The NFL has got to go back to what works, because no one cares about these new stars.

We are on the way to having Minaj do the half-time show next year, just to cater to the youth. Forget that

Scrap the entire concept of halftime shows and invite some black college bands to entertain the nation at halftime
