OT:did sympatico increase their download speed?

I can download 500k seconds on regular high speed...wow...is that normal??

I got an email that they increased my high speed connection from 3 Mbps to 5 Mbps.

Yeah it is normal. Some got the upgrade a couple weeks ago, others will have to wait...I still have the 300K.

I still have the 3 mbp connection. can't really complain but I feel kind of sore seing others getting higher connection speed when I'm paying the same ammount of money...

Perhaps my line can't support the added load...who knows.

I have that, actually a bit better. The upload speed is advertised at that, but they're playing with "bandwidth shaping" now, which essentially means you can't upload for squat.

Automatic if your line support it.

Personally i downgraded to high speed Lite from regular high speed since the only difference is unlimited bandwith.60 gig max (combined down/up) per month is enough for me as i don't even come close to download that much stuff.I average around 30 gig a month so it's not worth the extra money for me.

Make sure that you're not downloading or have P2P applications going.. They will screw up your results
