There's legitimate reasons to worry about Galchenyuk not turning out to be a great NHL player, but it has nothing to do with his point total after 4 games. I'd worry about his sample size compared to his peers and missing a year of development, but worrying about his box scores right now is silly.

Send a message via MSN to Rise from the Ashes
I registered at Hockeystreams.com and will be giving reports on Galchenyuk and other Hab prospects throughout the rest of the year.

All that for registering on hockeystreams.com... Can't even watch the game right now as it is "unable to connect to the content I requested".

I really think they have a good group of players but they're not coached to their full potential.

I dunno, lots of really stupid mistakes. A few guys that are seemingly incapable of protecting the puck at all. Very few board battles being won by any of the sting, and some really boneheaded give aways (like Murphy's).

I agree. Well, they don't have enough talent to be a competitor, but they should be much better than they are playing. I would say they are quite poorly coached.

Miserable first period from Galchenyuk. He had trouble controlling the puck and didn't really engage in many puck battles. The ones he did, he didn't win. He also looked very sluggish. However he did start getting his feet underneath him near the end of the period.

Honestly, I think I can safely say, that was the worst period I've seen him play in a long time.

Chris Bigras having a solid game so far.

Not much going on for Galchenyuk. Was on the ice for the goal against. Didn't engage into the play as much as what I have seen from him before.

Sting radio guys ripping Goldobin's hands though, calling him stone hands until he proves otherwise.

Also just ripped the Sting brass for trading Kujawinski for a few months of Spooner last year. Totally not afraid to say what they think.
