Center, but he's been starting a few times on the wing as far as faceoffs go, I wonder if that's because he was being double shifted or something, hard for me to tell who were his usual linemates and I didn't see the last 2 games.

Are we really going to play that game all year long? There was NO WAY Grigorenko would have been a top 3 pick this year. Not from everybody based on a lot of things. Did he fell too far? I TOTALLY believe it. I kept repeating that the topic wasn't about if Grigorenko was a bust to be, but if he deserved a top 5 pick. Which we had and the answer was no. He didn't deserved it. But he didn't deserve to be pick that far and that's the OTHER teams' problems.
Now, I am a Q fan. Big time. But how about comparing apples with apples? Grigorenko plays in the Q....Gally isn't. Grigorenko plays for a very good team, a powerhouse, a Memorial Cup contender. Gally isn't. NOTHING of what they will do this year suggest who will have a better NHL career. NOTHING.
Hey Philip Danault has 11 goals...he should have gone #1.....(though, Danault WAS a favorite of mine....but you get the point...)
Having said that, I will keep saying what I said BEFORE the draft....Grigorenko will have a very NHL career. It will shut up a few people who were already saying he would have been a bust. But Gally will be PERFECT for us.
That's what I think too. Grigs will be very good in the NHL, BUT he don't have the kind of mentality and drive to succeed in Montreal. Gally do. Gally have the work ethic and character that will be love by habs fan. Even if he put 70-80 pts, fans will not ask for more because he will put everything he got in every game. Grigs would have been teared up by media and fans because of his lazy style. But I watch 2 Sarnia games and I love how Gally play. Exactly the kind of center we need.
Like it's a given that Galchenyuk will be a 70 point scorer in the nhl ... Pouliot was drafted 4th overall of a deep draft and look what it did... Manage your expectations people... You can't put 70 points and just in the same sentence... Galchenyuk is not Crosby.

...and Crosby isn't a 70 points player either, more like 100+. Saying Galchenyuk will be a 70 point scorer is managing expectations.
Comparing Galchenyuk to Pouliot is ridiculous (seeing how different those two players and persons are) and the 2005 draft was not deep by any means, the first round especially was very disappointing. The entire first round produced exactly 3 legit first liners (Crosby, Kopitar and Ryan), two good defensemen (JJohnson and MStaal) and 2 great goalies (Price and Rask). The rest are either second&third liners or complete busts (''complete busts'' includes about half the first round picks).

I really hope galchenyuk gets traded to a contender, would be awesome
I fully expect it.
The Sting don't have the goods to be a legit title contender this year, they traded tons of picks and young players as they went for it last year and need to replenish as a result. Furthermore, it's a near lock that they will be losing almost every core member of their team aside from DeAngelo as several are overagers that will be too old next season or in the case of Gally/Murphy/Boucher, likely headed to the pros, so they have to acquire assets for those players as they enter a rebuild. It's how the CHL works.

Hope you're right.. it would make no sense for sarnia to keep him this year as they will just lose him next year to us, hopefully happens soon
