Kovalchuk didn't play in Bratislava. As well as Tarasenko and Bobrovsky. I don't think Slovan would have won against them.

And lol, Slovan fans are making big deal about taking a regular season game out of SKA.

I know, but SKA did.
Ilja is a star player but it's still only one player. If success of the team depends of one (few weeks contract time) player, whoever he's, it's not big win.
Anyway, this post was abuot Kovalcuk bad atmosphere complaining, I hope he'll feel better in Bratislava, heh.

Well, we'll see next game ; )

Neither did Slovan's NHL reinforcements (Višňovský & Sekera), so that's pretty much equal.

He won't be in Bratislava. We can beat them in St. Petersburg, though. No matter how you twist it, it was a prestigious win for Slovan. (And Slovan also beat SKA in a pre-season game.)

yeah, it's hilarious that SKA feels a need to find excuses even after a won game

if Kovie doesnt like KHLs ice and atmosphere, nothing prevents him from returning to NHL.

I for a change find it quite amazing that franchise as new as Lev was able to draw nearly 13k attendance. Or did everyone really expected sell-out and PO atmosphere just because ESPN aired it ? Praha has another 2 traditional teams that are higher in pecking order of fan´s interest. 13k for third team in town is pretty huge.

Yeah, that's cool. Moscow should learn.
