According to this page (in German), Lugano offered Zetterberg a contract, after Zug (where Brunner is) said no.

Neither the Zug part nor the Lugano part are confirmed though.

5 assists in 2 games. Beautiful. I hope he lights it up BIG TIME and kicks out Emmerton.

Z's agent confirmed they've talked to Lugano and isn't talking to any other team at this point. But he also said there's a long way to go from talks to done deal, and that it probably won't happen soon since he wants to wait and see where the lockout goes. His insurance is really expensive, over €100k a month.

Thought Zetterberg stated he was unlikely to play due to his role in the NHLPA?

Yes for now, but he doesn't want to sit a whole season(who does?).

Emmerton is safe on this team until Andersson or Sheahan or some other center is ready, or until we bring in another center.

At this point, it's Mursak vs Eaves, Miller, Brunner, Nyquist and Tatar for two spots.

Former Wing Jiri Hudler bounced off his KHL team in a surprise move.

KNOW FIRST | Jiri Hudler is out of the roster Prague Lion morning on the club agreed with the player. The reason is the persistence of health problems 28letého attacker had waited roughly monthly treatment of abdominal and groin muscles. "It's so, we agreed to terminate cooperation," said Jiri Hudler for iSport.cz.
So either he is damaged goods or was cut, either way Eva should be stunned by this.

Dats scores his first khl goal of the season today! Doing what he does best, steals the puck and puts a beautiful wrister through the legs of the d-man past the goalie. Hopefully it will give CSKA some life as they have been dominated most of the game, but with some great goal tending they lead 1-0.

Datsyuk puts in the rebound in the dieing seconds of OT for his second goal of the game to finish of the win for CSKA! He and Alex Radulov looked like the only two players on CSKA who actually did anything offensively.

Apparently is was with one second left in OT.

Also Filppula with 2 goals for Jokerit today.

LOL. Actually it's correct, the same word has several meanings and account is one of them. Opens a score is the real meaning.

1+1. One assist was taken away from him so now everything is fine again, not a bust

By the way, Brunner (6g 4+7=11) leads the entire league in scoring despite having played 2-3 games less then the others. Brooks Laich actually has a better ppg but has only played 4 games.

I'm really glad we got him signed. If he can translate a fraction of his scoring touch there he's got a good chance to stick.

Thought I'd put Valtteri Filppula's stats here while he's playing in FEL for Jokerit.

SEP 25, 2012: SAIPA @ JOKERIT 4 - 3
G 0, A 1, P 1, +/- +1, PIM 0, S 2, TOI 22:27

SEP 27, 2012: JOKERIT @ ILVES 4 - 3 S/O
G 0, A 0, P 0, +/- 0, PIM 0, S 4, TOI 24:40

SEP 29, 2012: HPK @ JOKERIT 1 - 5
G 0, A 2, P 2, +/- +2, PIM 0, S 2, TOI 22:28

OCT 2, 2012: JOKERIT @ KÄRPÄT 2 - 4
G 0, A 0, P 0, +/- -2, PIM 0, S 2, TOI 21:50

OCT 4, 2012: HIFK @ JOKERIT 2 - 4
G 2, A 0, P 2, +/- +2, PIM 2, S 3, TOI 26:04

OCT 5, 2012: JOKERIT @ TAPPARA 5 - 3
G 1, A 1, P 2, +/- +2, PIM 0, S 4, TOI 24:15

After six games, he has 3 goals and 4 assists, 7 pts, +/- +5. Fil's average ice time 23:37.

Fil's been playing left wing with his older brother Ilari being the center and Steve Moses forming maybe the best top line of the whole league. With Fil's 3 g + 4 a = 7 p, Ilari has 5 g + 7 a = 12 p in 9 games and Moses 5 g + 5 a = 10 p in 9 games.

Below are Val's goals. First goal at 0:00 and second at 4:24.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MqXj-...ure=plpp_video

Season's third goal at 2:42.

For those of us Stateside ESPN has announced an agreement to start airing KHL games on ESPN3 at least to begin with. Now CSKA isn't on the first seven games agreed to. But it will be interesting to see how far they take this as no love is lost between ESPN and Bettman. They also have a pre-existing relationship with the KHL in recent years. So if the lockout drags on it looks like maybe in November sometime we will get to see Datsyuk play on ESPN3/ESPN2.

Steve Levy and Barry Melrose will have the call. The October 9th game featuring Ovie will also re-air at 8 pm (eastern) on ESPN2.

Good, seems like Mursak has highest ppg on the whole Austria league.
