Blown coverage. Reminds me of that Cowboys game a few years ago where it was 13-0 and Moss got free like that twice in the 4th quarter for the win.

The great thing is there's been so much of that this year. The bombs to Garcon, Hankerson, Moss...they are going deep and actually completing the passes. This never happened last year.

I would think the main reason to keep Rex is to be a game day backup. Sending out a 2nd rookie on a day our rookie QB gets roughed up, why exactly is the benefit of putting out a rookie with minimal 1st team prep over Rex?

Sure one can argue that Cousins is a better QB, but for all the discussions of protecting III (and protecting rookie QBs over the decades, in general), I wonder how wise that it is. Risking losing 2 rookies in the same game after retaining a guy that has made it to the big dance. The 2nd rookie can reasonably be assumed to not have had the weekly practice reps nor experience needed to win anyways, right?

IMO easily the best Skins game of the past decade.

The argument I've seen stems from the idea and concept that only Cousins is fit to run the offense that RGIII would. Sure, he doesn't have the speed and athletic talent, but he's not anyway near the statue that Grossman can be.

got this from Extreme Skins:

Quote:
Shanny giving a presser now. I'll try and update

-Spoke to Robert for about 15-20 minutes and said Robert is feeling good.

-Said Robert never blacked out unlike Aldrick who was out for 1.5 minutes

-Said Robert is NOT currently experiencing any concussion symptoms

-Said he will undergo tests today and tomorrow and if he passes them he will get a light workout in tomorrow and will be able to practice on Wednesday with no contact

-Is going to monitor Robert throughout the week and if he passes his tests and doesn't have any setbacks plans for him to start.

-Made sure to emphasize to Robert sliding sooner. Also emphasized to Robert how vital he is to the football team

-When Robert first came off the field, he knew the score and quarter. It wasn't until a few minutes later when Robert was taking to the training room behind the bench that he couldn't remember the quarter or score

-Shanny looked at Roberts eyes when he came off the field and knew something was wrong despite Robert telling him he was fine. Told Robert to go see the doctor

-Shanny stands by his in game injury status of Robert as "shaken up"

Just wondering, why is the league so upset that RGIII was listed as "shaken up"?

They must be fearing bad publicity that if it turns out he had a bad concussion, Shanny masks by saying "oh, he just got his bell rung" that they didn't do enough to protect the image they want of the league. Under the guise of course, of pretending to protect III's best interests. With all the lawsuits pending led by Mark Rypien, rest assured there are lawyers probably right now pondering over Mike's vague comments.

Looks like Kai Forbath is close to being signed to replace Cundiff.

I had to get a new kicker this week for a Fantasy bye, and added Forbath at 9am this morning. Reading up on the 3, he was my choice. Nailed it, but ulterior motives, I was clearly planning to punk out all my fellow Skins obsessed FF fans who no doubt will try to add him at some point soon.
