Man, drank Makers like it was my job all weekend at the wedding crap. Then started drinking scotch like a complete ass, and shooting it rather than sipping it. Helluva time and weekend.

I don't think it's that you're not liked, just that it's an awkward topic... and one that is not even allowed by the CoC (I think), yet you constantly bring it up anyway and mention how your posts are deleted...

Whatever you do, best of luck.

So.... got four files I need to close by the end of the day today, and I'm waiting on all of them for info from others (one for lender approval, two for lender figures, and one for seller's figures).

In other words, I can't do any work on any of them right now. Anyone want to bet that I'll conveniently get all four back to me sometime after 4:00, meaning I'll be staying well past 5:00 to get them clear?

Until then, just mostly twiddling my thumbs....

What kind of gig?

Or rather not say?

Not long ago I was applying for jobs, and was also nervous as **** about potential interviews... same situation as you. Thankfully was gift wrapped my job I started last week, so didn't have to go through that hellhole of a process with interviews.

Listen, I know sometimes it's hard to find people to confide in and the internet is a good place to keep anonymity but get your problems off your chest and get feedback... however, just because someone doesn't respond or get sentimental about your post doesn't mean that they don't like you. You need to accept this place as a place to ultimately discuss hockey and regarding this thread, a place to post random stuff that may or may not get attention.

We all (at least I think I speak for most here) respect what you have to say. We'll read it, we'll ponder it. Maybe we don't have a response because sometimes we don't feel we have much to say about it besides "that sucks" or something like that, but it doesn't mean it's not considered.

Lighten up about it. If anything, the whole 'nobody likes me here' sentiment will make your whole 'nobody likes me here' thing get worse, and people will actually start disliking you for that reason alone.

Find someone you can talk to about these things, and even if nobody is super interested, at least talking about it aloud will help. Some people aren't much help at all, and I understand that, but at least you can get it off your chest.

You're probably a good guy. And I'm sure people would be much more attentive if we actually knew you. That's the down side of the internet. I truly hope all is well with you, and I hope that you don't leave this site because you feel left out. Again, sometimes you are though and that's the part of message boards that suck.

Yeah, good post, and I think we have all been pretty cool here. No reason to leave...maybe post more Hawks related stuff in addition to this thread and you'll get more responses in the Anything Goes thread and overall.

Only 6 on Monday? Call me when you hit double digits in a single day, then I'll be impressed.

I'm interviewing for a finance program at school, and back when they had the superday on Saturdays they used to have double digits...I'd go insane if I had to do that.

After one interview I'm DYING for a drink. Can't imagine a days worth of it like that, unless it were more like a job fair than an actual hardcore interview.

In other work news. Took me 16 minutes this morning to pack up my work bag, find my shoes, walk to work, get a cup of tea, and get back on HFB.

Make sure you fellow unemployed people get involved with professional organizations in your field. Nothing will grow your network faster.

I had to give a presentation last night for a program related to the local chapter of the main healthcare administration professional organization. I didn't just do well, I dropped jaws. People are lining up to sit down and have a cup of coffee with me so that they can help me along on my career search.

Never got into The League, always thought it was overrated just because it's the only fantasy sports show out there.

Absolutely love Sunny, though. Can't wait for that one. Just a gut feeling that they're going to have a huge bounce back season, if not their best one yet.

The League is ****ing hilarious.

I wouldn't even say it's about fantasy football, just about friends being *******s to eachother.
