That's the type of start I was talking about needing from CC. What a ****ing gem, wish they left him in for the CG, but oh well. CC is the man!

He was in his usual playoff form, 0-4 with 3 K's and 2 men left on base

Ya, I think that's weird too. At least the Yankees won and now they have true home field advantage. They will go back to NY at least tied.

He pulled what my brother calls a "Posada special". Jorge used to do that all the time, but in his case, it was because he was just slow. Hits that would be clear doubles for anyone else, he'd get thrown out at second by ten feet.

Touche'.

The Sox team this year was the biggest clown shoe baseball team I've seen in a long time.

I don't care what the numbers are if they win. They haven't been doing that the last couple years, so we can be critical, but if they win this year and those guys have a collective .100 average, I'm not going to care.

Oh I agree. I just think you would want more production out of 3 of your 4 power hitters.

Girardi's lineup is a joke and he's never been good at making one. A-Rod has no business being ahead of Cano and putting Swisher ahead of Granderson clogs the basepaths for Granderson's speed.

And out of curiosity because I really don't know, was Ichiro stealing 3rd an Ichiro decision or a Girardi decision?

I kid of course, but it really was. And you are right, more production is needed out of your better hitters. Tex had a good night last night, and Swish had a decent one as well. A-Rod was the suck as per usual at this time of year. Thank god for 2009 with him.

Of course we do. We're just not sweating it that much because even with those guys in a slump, we can hang 7 runs on the Orioles.

I also think Granderson should be higher in the lineup. His power is going to waste behind Swisher too.

As for the decision to steal third with no outs, I have no idea. Definitely a bad decision though, you never make the first out at third base. Ichiro would have scored just as easily from second on a hit to the outfield.

So I guess the Yankees don't have to stay on the baseline like other teams

That was a cool play, but I don' think I've ever seen a player legally go THAT far out of the way to avoid a tag.

Swisher is even more useless offensively in the playoffs than Zach Parise
