I'm okay with the Devils trading for Tarasenko instead....

Tarasenko is looking like a world class playmaker today! I certainly doesn't help to have one of the best finishers in the game to play with but his playmaking ability is fantastic..
Definitely a player who was taught very well offensively. Always keeps his feet moving and his head up.

I love the work ethic too. He is always willing to go back and play some defense, even if he does look a little lost sometimes! Twice seen him go flying this period, along the boards trying to create something in the offensive zone and trying to break up a pass on a SH CSKA breakaway. Just hope that that kind of effort doesn't result in injuries.

3 assists to add to his 5 goals in 5 games. Not too bad! This lockout better end soon! I'm tired of watching streams with announcers I can't understand.

I think the most impressive Tarasenko's play was that backhand to the post at 4.29. It'd be a great goal if he scored.

What current NHL player does Tarasenko's playing style most closely compare to? I only have ever seen highlights of Tarasenko and was hoping to get some input from those who have seen him play a few times.

Ryan, Seguin, and a dash of Ovechkin...Offensive game that is.

I know, I'm just referring to his shifty moves. Passing wise, I'd compare him to Oshie, in that he could probably put up 35 or so assists on this team. Style wise he's different though. He seems to slow down the play like Perron.

Love watching these highlights. Would love to hear what Kovy has to say about him. Are there any interviews out there with Kovy talking about Vladi (with an english translation)?

This kid reminds me alot of a young Alexander Molgilney sp. Terrific hands and reads the play as well as anyone out there. Wouldn't it be fun if we had Kovy wearing the note also?!

I found only this:
Quote:
Ковальчук поделился своим мнением о нападающем СКА Владимире Тарасенко: "Это - талантливый парень, играет с эмоциями, у него всегда поднята голова".
Kovalchuk shared his opinion about Tarasenko: "He is talented guy, plays with emotions, he always keeps his head up."

Not to overreact but it's encouraging to hear. Tarasenko seems to succeed no matter where he plays.

He just has "it". Size, skill, speed, determination, and a desire to win. He's gonna be good.

Another point for Tarasenko. 10th game in raw with at least 1 point for him.
