I like the assembly of talent they've put together, but it will be interesting to see how the chemistry is, what type of offense is put on the floor and how they respond to not having Nash orchestrating the offense.

The bigger problem is what kind of defence they can put together.

This. And its a shame cause he used to be one of the most likeable players in the league.
I lived in Orlando as this whole thing unfolded. When I moved down there (Early August) people loved him. As he started his act, people just hated him. I just wish the Magic took Brooklyn's deal (Brook Lopez and picks). Either way they'd be screwed, but I like Lopez's potential more.
What is going on with Howard lately. First he calls out Shaq, now he's complaining about a nickname. I haven't followed the NBA as closely but it just sounds like Howard might be the biggest whiner/spoiled brat in the NBA. Shut up and play basketball.
Am I the only one whose catching myself still saying "New Jersey" as opposed to "Brooklyn"?
It took me a few years to get used to "New Orleans Hornets."

Anyway, you really are in the minority among Sharks fans. An A's and a Kings fan. But I'm kinda like you. it feels like most of my fellow Kings fans are also my enemies since they are Laker fans and a number of them are Angel fans.
Alright so here is a question, which team that picked in the top-10 at the draft can surprise and grab a playoff berth?
I don't think it'll be much of a surprise but Brooklyn should be able to grab a playoff spot. Minnesota looked pretty good last season before Rubio's injury and I think they can compete for the 8th seed in the West. Neither team actually picked in the top 10 because they traded their 1st round pick but they were bottom 10 in the league.
Brooklyn is supposed to be good and a lot of people seem to be on the Minnesota bandwagon so I'll go with Golden State as my surprise team. They have a lot of good young players and they should be an exciting team to watch. They just need Curry and Bogut to stay healthy. They have a solid line-up:

Well, I don't "hate" the LA Kings. I dislike them when the Sharks play them. But, I was happy for them to finally get their cup this year.
There have been nights where the Sac Kings are at home and the Sharks play the LA Kings. Those nights are weird. I like and dislike the Kings at the same time.

After moving out from the midwest at 8, I lived in an area about an hour north of Sacramento. So I really don't have an affiliation with any city of the teams I like, besides them residing in Northern California.
