AHL Fantasy Hockey

Me and a few guys in my regular dynasty league have decided to start an AHL fantasy league to help us through the lockout. Obviously there are no sites like Yahoo to keep track of this for us so we'll be using our league website to follow everything.

We're doing 10 teams (currently at 7), head-to-head, and fairly small rosters; 2 C, LW, RW, 4D, 2G, 3BN, 1IR.

If you're interested or have any questions please send me a PM.

What do your scoring categories look like? Just curious.

We don't have that fully decided yet. I figured to keep it as simple as possible we would do one of these scenarios;

Goals, assists, +/-, PIMs, PPPs, SHPs

Wins, GAA, SV%, SO -or- Wins, goals against, saves, shutouts

The reason I have two options for the goalie categories is because it would be much easier to keep track of if we used goals against and saves as opposed to GAA and SV%.

It is a very smart idea to keep the numbers away from percentages...it will make life so much easier. Format sounds quite solid.

I'd be interested..3 skaters at each position would be nice. Wouldn't mind picking up a lifer or two..get to know the league better you know?

Exactly. I had to take a crash course on the AHL this year and the KHL last year. It was not easy but doable. Play it and get your feet wet.
