Teams aren't going to downgrade their defense for what are basically scraps(and especially not add Gormley).

I doubt Seabrook is available, but Yandle would probably cost a top line forward.

Not going to get either of them on the Flames for what you have available. Teams are not going to want a downgrade like your originaly posted for literally nothing, you have no younger top line forwards, and I doubt Flames would move Baertschi.

I don't think the flames could get Seabrook for anything, tbh

For anyone else it would have to be a 2d and a 2c to Chicago ... legit #2 guys at those positions like Goligoski / Kronwall at D and Richards / Pavelski / Staal at C

Chicago is in a unique position possessing two number 1 d-men, they would need to truly fill holes in order to move Seabrook.

Unless you do a lateral move:

Seabrook would probably cost you a number two center or a second pairing defender, a pretty good prospect, and a first. If second pairing defender, than add another prospect.

Yandle will probably cost an offensive forward with promise, a serviceable second pairing defender, and a first.

For hypotheticals, doesn't mean these teams trade for them, just saying the most reasonable deals....

Seabrook for Zajac, Merrill, and a first.

Yandle for Johanssen, Schultz, and a first.

You are a Flames fan, right? For Yandle I'd need Sven Baertschi and your 2013 1st, for starters.

Out of curiosity, how would you feel about J-Bo, Baertschi and 2013 2nd?

Pretty sure Phoenix is the last team that would want to take on J-Bo's contract.

If the league starts by the Winter Classic (unfortunately that's pretty much the best case scenario at this point) then the Yotes would only be on the hook for 1.5yrs of it. Plus, there might be a potential roll back.

Still, I don't really expect Calgary to make the playoffs (not saying it's out of the question or anything), so that 1st that I added to Baertschi is actually a huge part of the proposal, especially considering how loaded this draft is with scoring forwards.

Seabrook is not available.

But for the sake of the thread, if you really want him in Calgary.

Gio, Bartschi, and 1st.

That is an extremely tempting offer. However, I think we'd rather have Gio's value replaced by equal forward value.

We have no need to trade Yandle and he's a huge part of the team. Unless we get the perfect offer, there is no reason at all to consider moving him. I don't think the perfect offer includes top four D in their late twenties.

Grabner, Nelson, NYI 1st for Yandle and Torres? I'm assuming you don't want defense coming back. Doubt the Isles would include Strome either.. if it came down to it they'd probably just take their chances with deHaan/Donovan instead of parting with him.

Good God Yandle gets overpriced on a regular basis.

Not that I necessarily want to trade Stastny, but would Stastny and Barrie for Yandle and a 2nd be enough for Phoenix fans?

It probably would be intriguing to say the least.

I'd say they would definitely consider it, but they may not accept it.

I doubt they'd want Stastny's salary on the books, though.

Probably closer to Grabner, MacDonald, + 1st rounder for just Yandle, and that's if the Yotes even want Grabner, who is pretty much the same player Boedker projects to be(but Boedker is more physical).

JayBo + Backlund for Yandle and I think the Yotes consider it. Backlund has top #1 centre potential and the Yotes are badly needing a #1 centre.

Seabrook would and should cost a lot more than Yandle in my opinion. Seabrook can play in all situations and is great in his own zone while chipping in a little less offensively than Yandle. But still Seabrook is a true #1 D-man and Yandle is #1/2 not the same caliber of player.

Backlund? Like Mikael Backlund?
