Rumors are he was sick the first time and the he was placed on a defensive line and also scratched the past couple of games. Sucks for him but if he isn't 100% better he comes back

Officially they're saying he asked to go back home due to health problems (the flu and an elbow inflammation) but the article also says that Pacioretty didn't appreciate being scratched for two games over the weekend, with the coach preferring to go with players he knew would be there for the full year. He was also put on D at one point, if I'm reading the article correctly.

They're saying there's a chance he could be back in Ambri if he heals quickly and the lock out continues, but the site speculates that it doesn't seem likely.
