Joined too recently. IIRC you need to wait 30 (or was it 45?) days after you join before you can vote in polls.

Absolutely. Go to the ESPN website. There must be contact information for ESPN2. For my part, I was looking forward to watching the first KHL game ever televised live in North America, and I ended up pissed and feeling as though I was suddenly watching second-rate hockey. Can't tell you how many times I've felt the same way watching NHL games.

If it's any comfort, I find the Czech & Slovak broadcasts of NHL games unbearable, too. The commentators do take those games seriously, but seem rather amateurish. That's because the best Czech & Slovak announcers focus on domestic league & national team games, so that NHL games are often left up to secondary TV channels and their "rookie announcers".

Turned espn off. Well, two *******s talking smack about KHL, I can live with that. I don't have to watch them after all as I have 3 other channels that cover KHL, but I feel sorry for the guys who were genuinely interested and now are stuck with "this". Unprofessional isn't the right word.

They are professionals. Professional KHL haters without ever watching it.

They talk like they are HFBoards members. Specifically the Canadian ones. Look at how Canadians talk about the KHL, its the same way these guys do.

They don't seem to realize big ice=things that are done in the NHL put you way way out of position.

Good call, but there's no way the ref actually saw that penalty... That was guessing call.

Melrose whining that players that don't have to sign two ways get to play for a lot of money in Europe.

Also the ice in O2 has a lot of water on it, makes no sense, reminds me of the Winter Classic.

Dynamo didn't really deserve 3 points out of this, but that's hockey.

espn is acting like they doing hockey fans a favor cause their is no NHL.. Newsflash Espn, you don't have an NHL contract... Take some pride in your work and give KHL the professionalism that they deserve.

as for the play on the ice, it wasn't that good and Dyanmo stole one imo..

Can anyone help me with the KHL scheduale? What does start at 12:00 msk mean?

Moscow time, which is 8 hours ahead of (Canada/US) Eastern Time.

"msk" is Moscow time, that's currently 8 hours ahead of the American East Coast. So 12:00 msk would be 4 a.m. in the morning on the American East Coast.

(This will change once Europe & America go back from summer time to normal time. That's because they now have "summer time" in Russia throughout the year. So the difference to msk time will be 9 hours in December, January, etc.)

Can't watch ESPN 2/3 in Canada, but found a live stream nonetheless. I think from now on I'll listen to it on mute. Melrose and Levy are awful; can't remember which one it was but he kept commenting on how neither team forechecked and would burst out laughing.

I don't think they'll be doing any of the ESPN 3 broadcasts. Tonight was likely a one-off special for them, which is probably why they didn't take it quite seriously and came in seemingly unprepared, knowing little about the teams, players, and coaches. BTW I tweeted Barry Melrose at https://twitter.com/NHLBarryMelrose to let him know about the true state of affairs regarding all the Juraj Mikus's. I think the play-by-play guy for ESPN 3 will be someone else with an Italian last name.

Ah, if you're passionate about hockey, 4 a.m. is a great time to watch! I'm an LA Kings fan and I like their regular home games starting time, which is 4:30 a.m. for us here in Europe. It's much worse with the American East Coast games, because all those games start at 1 a.m. for us.

Yes, there is nothing better then starting a day with some hockey in the early morning, hot coffee and then going to work.

I feel a little bit disappointed about the game. Such a great team effort but not a single goal. So the second loss in a row against the best, what KHL offers and I am not really sure, what I should feel about. Angry about the lost points or satisfied because the new formed Prague team played that good against the league's elite?

But anyhow, it's just great to have such great hockey only three hours by car away. Can't wait for the next visit there vs. Amur.
