According to a swiss-newspaper and the manager of the portal himself, the portal Ashleymadisson.com wanted to finance a Crosby's lock-out deal for the swiss champion, Zürich. They were ready to pay 600'000 swiss francs. In exchange, the logo of ashleymadisson should have been on Crosby shirt and Zürich's players should have done a TV-spot, among other publicity. Zürich said no because of morality reason. The manager of the portal said he's looking for another swiss team who could be interested. He also said that they weren't in contact yet with Crosby agent.

Wait. Ok, uh, is this site like a swiss version of the Onion? The website looking to finance Crosby's stay is adult related which provides cheaters a place to converse and hookup.

Is Sid on Tiger Woods mack daddy status? Well, if he is, atleast he's single right? O

Or perhaps the websites owner is just a big fan?

Yep, it's a hookup site for people who are in a relationship. But as a team owner, I wouldn't care, people are responsible for what they do and THEY COULD HAVE HAD SIDNEY CROSBY on their team FFS!!! I still hope he lands in Switzerland, but that's the best chance...

Yes, highlights and boxscore of every game are here:

http://www.sport.sf.tv/swisstxtfeed/view/ih/nla

So if you want to check out Richard Park and Jason Williams in their loss to John Tavares and Mark Streit, it's all here

Of the top of my head, these NHL players play in the Swiss league during the lockout:

Yannick Weber
Logan Couture
Jason Spezza
Damien Brunner
Raphael Diaz
Henrik Zetterberg
Joe Thornton
Rick Nash
Patrice Bergeron
Jared Spurgeon
Tyler Ennis
Brooks Laich
Tyler Seguin
Roman Josi
Mark Streit
John Tavares

What team does Bergeron play for? Wonder if Sid would want to play there if there's still a spot available.

HC Lugano. Apparently Letang was rumored to go there, but decided to stay in Quebec because of the baby.

must have got more money , Austrian league will be better standard than the Dutch league so that's good and he'll still get plenty of ice time.

Yeah, I was surprised that he signed in Holland at all, that's quite a poor league. I guess he could just as well sign with one of the lower leagues in North America. I had Jeffrey singled out as the one Penguin it was possible to get to my local team in Norway, but that ship has sailed now...

I was wondering what that all was about. Holland FFS, I mean that's below the ECHL.

I believe KHL Medveščak is moving to the KHL next season.

Is the team Jeffrey joining any good? Even the league?

He's a guy I still have some hopes for if he can get an edge to his game, another gear or two in his stride and can possibly convert to wing. Then again, I try to stay optimistic for a lot of the Pens prospects.

Really? Because I was able to watch it from abroad. Maybe you need to update a player or something?

Possibly. I'll run it through google translate here...

"aus rechtlichen grunden steht dieses video nur innerhalb der schwiez zur verfugung"

"For legal reasons this video is only available within the Schwiez to uptil"

Ok then, very strange. But you could circumvent that with a fake proxy server, I mean it's not like you're stealing something, I don't know why the hell they're doing that anyways.

The EBEL is significantly better than the Dutch league. I would place it a little below the DEL in terms of quality. Originally the top division in Austria, the league expanded when several Austrian clubs went under, and now includes 8 clubs from Austria and 1 each from Slovenia, Croatia, Hungary and the Czech Republic. Zagreb has quite the money, being Croatia's capital and only noteworthy hockey team. Former Pens prospects Johnathan Filewich and Andy Sertich played there in the recent past.

do you think EBEL is above the 2nd Bundesliga or around the same Burgs?

Yes, much closer to DEL than Bundesliga.

Rosenborg (And NYR) fan coming in peace.

Engelland has signed for Rosenborg in the Norwegian Elite League (aka Get League), where he'll probably be a top pairing d-man, paired with Ryan Martinelli. Rosenborg are a bottom half team in the Norwegian league, tho should improve after adding Deryk and Jack Skille from Florida. They are a pretty tough team in a rather soft league.

Rosenborg are the first and thus far only Norwegian team to bring in NHL players.
