the only reason that Reilly is a safe pick and Grigorenko isnt is sadly because of their passports. My belief is If Grigorenko were Canadian he would have gone top 2 last year.
On a side note I heard that Edmonton had him ranked 3rd and that a few other teams had him top 5 still, Buffalo apartenly had him at #4.
I know Edmonton brought in Yakupov, Reinhart, Grigorenko, and Murray for the #1 overall but had Reinhart more for a trade down scenario. I believe that he was #3 on their list.
I am quite confident from listening to Devine that Buffalo had Yakupov, Galchenyuk, Murray, Grigorenko, and Forsberg in their top 5.
Washington appartenly never had him ranked in the entire draft
I also believe that Montreal had him in the top 5
Again mostly speculation

I think he would have made the sabres this year and would have been in their top 6.
Eventually he is going to be their number 1 center and a steal for years to come. Buffalo did a great job this past draft and i hope their gamble pays off.
Dominating the Q to dominating the NHL is a big jump. He should be a good player, but there is a reason he dropped. There was a good group of defensemen and a lot of teams were targeting them.
+ work ethic , attitude. I recall hearing several different reasons on draft day..
I think his attitude is just fine and Roy doesn't seem to have any problems with his work ethic.
He's said he wishes he was a bit more consistent in practices sometimes, but that's about it.

Yes, he actually had mono and had medical records at the draft to prove it.

He was one of 5 prospects that met with management in Edmonton IIRC. I was really hoping that we would've been able to trade up and nab him along with Nail, if they had him 3rd they had the same intentions but just couldn't get the job done.

Pretty sure Toronto has him in the top 5 as well. With rielly being their number 1.

Not sure if serious???
Personally, I doubt Burke had Grigs in their top 5. Actually, I wonder if Yakupov was on Burke's top 5.
Grigs has a lazy looking skating stride, he may not be as lazy as some make him out to be...but that skating style of his makes it look worse. Similar things were said of Sundin's stride when he was younger, it's not an uncommin observation on the taller players.
