Between the Braves and the Panthers, my tolerance for this lockout just got a lot shorter.

I pour my heart and soul into this team and I get the same junk EVERY FREAKING WEEK. I'm sick and tired of it.

All the money poured into running backs is what kills this team. They aren't even that effective, and they fumble at the worst times. Double trouble is more trouble for the Panthers than it is for the other team's defense.

I'm not sure we deserve to be in the top 5, but I'll take it.

This NCAA season has the potential to get very silly, very quickly I think.

Imagine if you will, Oregon beats USC, but loses to Oregon State, who then lose to USC in the PAC-12 Championship. Kansas State beats WVU, but lose to Texas who also lose to Texas Tech. South Carolina loses to LSU but then beat Florida, but lose to Clemson on the last day of the season. Alabama goes undefeated but lose vs. Georgia in the SEC Championship.

Wrap your head around that.

WTF would the BCS Title game be?!?!?!

Ohio State just gained major points in my books. This is the single greatest thing I've ever seen.

LOLOL if Bama goes undefeated they WON'T lose to Georgia in the SEC Championship game. We thinking about the same Georgia team here? The one that just got rocked by South Carolina?

Y'all see that quote from Spurrier that they showed on ESPN during the game? Something along the lines of "we look forward to playing Georgia every year because we can always count on two or three of their key players being suspended." Needless to say that quote's going to be used frequently here at Tech...

I loved the quote - it's in reference to the Georgia game being moved back in our schedule - typically we opened SEC play against Georgia in week 2 or week 3. The full context was that we always looked forward to playing in those first couple weeks because they would have had a player suspended for some off-season infraction.

Dave, you might have a national champion on your hands. Not trying to jinx anything or screw up anything, and I know it's early, but this West Virginia team is REALLY good.

Yes they are. They play Texas Tech in Texas this weekend, TT is the #1 pass D in the country.

Good test for Geno.

How appropriate that Tim Tebow played in the 666th MNF

Just noticed WVU doesn't have their Backyard Brawl game this year??? Weird.

Then again, maybe it's a good thing. Might prevent this from happening again

EDIT: Just found this on NFL.com. They left the courtroom together to. I think I was born 10-15 years to early cause, man, I swear I see a story like this half a dozen times a year and I don't remember having teachers like that in high school. Mine were all 45 and up and not the nice looking kind of 45 either

After seeing that game against Texas I flat out told my dad "the defense is mediocre at best, but with an offense capable of doing THAT at Texas I have to think that Bama might be the only team that can slow them down. And even then Bama will have to score 40+ to win".

Actually some fantastic golf there if the weather is going to permit. The Pete Dye course in Bridgeport where they have a PGA event is about 45 from Morgantown. Some great hiking in the area, and I'd recommend taking route 19 so you can check out the New River Gorge Bridge.

Good luck with tickets for that though, they get pricy when the team is having this type of season. For some big games in 06 they were going for 250 a head for some of the "cheap" seats on the secondary market so if you can get them for anything near face now do it.

Yup. That's the price they pay for moving to the Big XII and having to play 9 conference games. At least the ACC had the sense to make an 8-conference game schedule for next season, otherwise teams like Florida State, Clemson, and Georgia Tech with long-standing out-of-conference rivalries would be in similar shoes and would see their rivalries go the way that Florida-Miami went - an intermittent thing. The thought of no Carolina-Clemson game makes me a sad panda.

Not having a Clemson-South Carolina game would be a heinous crime.

Oh, and mark my words: we will win that game...sometime soon, hopefully
