You're missing Colton Parayko (Alaska-Fairbanks, CCHA). Do the Nanooks have any games being broadcast this year?

Added, good call. And no, unfortunately as of now they aren't listed for any of the games but that could change if they make it to the finals.

Here's the full NCAA TV schedule for those who are interested: http://www.sbnation.com/nhl/2012/9/2...ncaa-2012-2013

No problem. Same here, I have a feeling this is going to be a great season for Blues prospects. A few seem to be already starting to surprise us.

Rattie finally got his first goal of the season last night, along with an assist. Hopefully this gets him going, he's had a poorer start than I would have imagined.

Before the season, I predicted his scoring totals would be down 20-25%, due to Rattie's not having Baertschi, and having to build a rapport with his new linemates.

I still think he'll end up with totals similar to what I predicted.

Over the weekend Jaskin scored two goals to tie him for 6th with Grigorenko. Veilleux also scored his first goal of the season in that game. Tesink had 2 assists. As mentioned, Ty Rattie was 1+1. Edmundson had an assist to give him 3 in 5gp's. Also, Jordan Binington is off to a good start with 6GP 2.27 GAA .930sv%.

So teemu eronen appears to really benefit from playing with Erik karlsson. What would it take to get his rights?

I don't think the Blues would be able to pay what Ottawa would want in order to get Karlsson...

Sam Kurker playing for Boston University against the University of Toronto last Sunday. He didn't get any points, but he didn't look bad either.

Ty Rattie added another goal in yesterday's game when Portland beat Saskatoon 4-0. In the OHL Owen Sound won 4-2 over Plymouth and Jordan Binnington had a 42 save performance that improved his sv% to .934. In the Q both Moncton and Saint John lost their games and no prospects registered points. So far in the USHL MacEachern is 1+3 in 4GP with the Chicago Steel. I don't believe there were any Junior/College level games scheduled for tonight, but there will be quite a few over the weekend. Including the NCAA season openers.

Oct. 12
QMJHL- Moncton vs Val-D'or 5:00CT, Saint John 5:30CT
WHL- Brandon vs Everett 7:30CT, Portland 8:00CT
NCAA- PennState(SO)6:30CT, UMD(SO)7:00CT, UND(exh.)7:30CT, UAlaska-Fairbanks(SO)8:00CT
USHL- Chicago 7:00CT

Oct. 13
WHL- Brandon 7:30CT, MooseJaw 8:00CT, Everett 8:00CT, Portland 8:00CT
NCAA- BU (SO)6:00CT, PennState 6:00CT, UMD 7:00CT
USHL- Chicago 7:00CT

Oct. 14
QMJHL- Moncton 2:00CT
WHL- MooseJaw 8:00CT

Tarasenko now ranked #2 in HF's Top 50 Fall Prospect Rankings. Schwartz ranked 7th. Rattie still 48th.

People are really mad that Schwartz is ranked ahead of guys like Galchenyuk, Granlund, and Kreider. I seem to side with them on Granlund and Kreider, I think they will both outperform Schwartz over their career. I guess I see where HF was coming from with Galchenyuk because he was injured for such a long time before he was drafted. Schwartz does seem to get overrated quite a bit by the HF staff in my opinion. He's going to be a good player, but I can't see him being on the level of Galchenyuk, Kreider or Granlund.

Only at this website could an 18-year-old with no pro experience be named a better prospect than a 21-year-old who has been a solid contributor in the KHL for the last three years, was one of the KHL's leading playoff scorers last season while getting "punishment" fourth-line ice time, and who captained his country's last World Junior gold medal team...

Schmaltz with a big game tonight for North Dakota. Showing great poise and skill at the point, finished the game with 3 assists in a 6-4 win over Team USA U-18.

Nanooks win 4-3 in OT shootout. Parayko looked very solid on both ends of the ice. Played very physical, and did a good job of breaking up plays in front of the net. He scored late in the first to tie it up and finished with a +2 rating. Pretty impressed with this kid so far.

Rattie finishes the night with a goal and assist in a 5-3 Portland win over Prince Albert. In the Moncton versus Val-D'or game Jaskin added 2 assists and Veilleux added 1 in a 4-3 win. Tremblay stopped 32 of 36 shots for Val-D'or. Tesink had 1 assist in Saint John's 6-5 victory. In the Everett versus Brandon game Walters had an assist in his teams 3-2 victory. In the USHL, MacEachearn had 2 assists and the game winning overtime goal in a 4-3 win for Chicago over Team USA.

Tarasenko is 20. He'll be 21 in December.

Hey guys,

It looks like Schmaltz is playing on the top pairing with Forbert. Does anyone know if this is true?

Yes it is true. Schmaltz is much better defensively than I anticipated. He will be able to jump in the play quite a bit this year because Forbort is a rock defensively, expect pretty good point totals from both this year. Schmaltz has yet to see PP time though.

Alaska-Fairbanks game is streaming again tonight. Currently in the 2nd period Nanooks losing 0-2. Wonder if they're going to stream every game this season.

What is the deal with Allen? Sounds like he's been terrible in the first two games so far.

EDIT: I guess he had a bad start last year too.
