I'll be a happy man the day the Oilers organization can break the injury curse that seemingly everyone good in our club has been plagued with since the '06 cup run. It's truly unbelievable how often this happens.

He's back behind the bench with his arm in a sling if that's the word for it. We will know more later tonight.

I don't even know what to say, just hopefully it isn't seriously.

With our luck, all of RNH, Eberle, Schultz will be injured at the same time in a few weeks....

Well that's better than a blown out knee. I'll take an upper body injury over a leg injury any day of the week

I don't know, shoulders can be nasty, long term business. Just look at Horcoff and Hemsky. Torn labrums seem to be the injury of choice among Oiler players, and they are brutal long term.

That was my first thought as well. All sorts of nightmarish scenarios go through your head when you hear "crashed badly into the boards", i couldn't help but to think of a Fedun type of injury. Thank god it's his upper body instead.

Watching Klefbom's progress was one of the only things keeping me sane during the lockout.

Such a shame.

Hopefully its not a surgery type injury, but if it is, I hope the doctors over there recognize it and get him sliced up ASAP.

Fan-freaking-tastic.

Hope this isn't too serious. I do think shoulder is better than leg.

First indications from the team doctors seem to be that it's nothing major. The shoulder seems to have taken a bad beating and having some interior bleeding in the muscles (Sorry for my very swedish english). He's probably going to miss out on next game at least. They are going to do a more precise examination tomorrow.

It was definitely not a Fedun-bad crash but it looked a bit awkward. Reports (twitter) say it's not a serious injury but we will know more tomorrow.

So just some deep bruising and strain it seems like, here's hoping that's all.

I've always wondered if the personalized work outs set for our prospects and players from was it Bodies by Bennet ? might be causing problems.

Nothing to go on here but Klefbom, Gernat and Marincin are just three new casualties.

My guess it's more that hockey is a relatively physical sport that's hard on the body.

What? Do you know how many Edmonton-area hockey players train at Body by Bennett.. Don't quite understand what you're trying to say. It's hockey, there are injuries.

Shoulder/arm injury for Klefbom. Not believed to be serious, but he'll see the team doctor tomorrow morning in Karlstad. #Elitserien #Oilers

People tried to blame Chad Moreau too

Must just be the curse of having the best player ever and then getting rid of him.

I would subscribe to this theory as well. Theres an inordinate amount of Oilers that train in these workouts that seem to suffer serious injury later. I wouldn't rule it out as an associated precursor.

Really I would add it to the growing number of extreme workout crazes that cause more harm than good.

Basically if you change your muscle anatomy too quickly and then throw regular high speed excessive impact at joints/ligaments that are newly stressed bad things are going to happen. I would say the physics of hockey exacerbate the mechanism of injury.
