soooo.. somebody give me optimism on the lockout/season. its tough for me to think of anything good right now.
A. We don't have to watch Cam Janssen in a Devils uniform.
B. We don't have to see Pete DeBoer's atrocious ties.
C. We don't have to hear status quo from Lou when asked about the status of something.
I'm curious what would happen if fans were polled. I know Bettman gets a lot of flack, but I really have no idea how many (if any) fans are totally satisfied with what he's done.
Too bad fans can't vote Bettman out the way Seattle fans in MLS get the option to vote their GM in or out
Oates wore some bad ties, and bad suits too sometimes.
Nothing beats those ugly brownish/beige ones that Robinson, and Maclean would sometimes wear. I don't remember Larry wearing any that color recently. He did a lot when he was a head coach though particularly 00-02.

You seriously remember everything. I can't say I've EVER paid attention to anyone's suit colors.

I really don't paid attention, but those ugly beige colored ones really caught my eye. I guess these guys wanna mix it up a little bit though. If they wear the gray or black suits all the time everyone will think they only own two suits.
I really don't know **** about ties. I have an eye for an ugly suit, but not so much a tie. I do remember Oates wearing some really bad ties, and they must have been really bad for me to notice.
Didn't Oates wear a lot of pink ties too? Not that there's anything wrong with guys rockin a little pink!
I was watching some old football stuff, and the coaches were all wearing suits. I like that about the Devils - they all do it. And hockey coaches in general...

i feel the same way about post-game attire. shirt and tie.
btw- somewhere, sean avery is pouting into his bear's shoulder that he isnt being mentioned in a 'hockey fashion' conversation
1:14 p.m.: More KHL knowledge, as we learn there isn't a hell of a lot of shot blocking, even on the power play. Which means Ovechkin would play HC Lev 10,000 times before he ever plays the Rangers again. Maybe he is staying.
1:58 p.m.: Ovechkin gets his best chance of the game with a driving shot to the net while falling that Malkin would have obviously buried. Levy and Melrose think he has better jump in the second period, which probably means someone from IMG called him between periods to subtly remind him the game was on ESPN2.
2:13 p.m.: Ovechkin's inept play on the man advantage made me look to the blue line to see if Dennis Wideman had turned the puck over. Pavlovian response. Won't happen again next season. Sorry Calgary.
I wonder how much the players have to kick up to Fehr for union dues? While I'm still siding with the players for the most part, I think Fehr is a slimy ****.
I've been in a union before so I know how these guys operate. Fehr is looking out for himself here. We've seen how he operates. At this point I trust him less than Bettman, and Daly.
