Persnonnally, I was disappointed by some of the comments Gorges had about Subban this past year. *disclaimer I'm a big Subban fan*. Didn't sound like someone who was able to rally everybody to me...

I wish Gill could be our captain, although I'm glad he's gone as a player.

2 years is far away... Ellis/Tinordi could turn out to be captain material if all goes well for them.

Gionta. If not then Plekanec. Gorges and Cole with a A. If cole is gone then Moen

Awards:
If Gionta doesn't stick around, then it will likely be Gorges.

I think Gionta will take a pay cut and stay. If he leaves and we need a replacement, Gorges will get it

Gorges, with Pacioretty as his dark horse running mate...

I'd like to add that we rarely see an overwhelming consensus like this.

Gorges will get an A, if he's still with us at that point.

From our current roster, moving forward I'm taking Desharnais.

Gorges is obviously the best choice even though he has never had any experience captaining.

I like the idea of going with a defencemen, less pressure to be a points leader and can just focus on rallying and leading the troops. The guy would take a bullet for his team, great choice for captain.

- Galchenyuk (he doesn't bust)

I want Galchenyuk to become the next captain because I think he will become a great leader, and will show the exemple with his 100 % good work ethic. Also, he will become our futur number one center, so our best player, and usually captains are the best player, the one who gives the most on ice and the one who has the best work ethic. And I think Galchenyuk has/will have all that.

So who do you choose and why?
exactly the kind of pressure that destroys prospects.

Gorges, to me, has all the makings of a great captain. It was nice to see him stay back and help Gallagher with his game. I don't even think he'd be a stop-gap kind of captain, I think he'd make a terrific one for years to come.

Galchenyuk as captain in 2 years.. that's funny.

Pleks or Pac if they don't give it to Gorges.

Voted Gorges, but Pac is easily 2nd choice. He has shown work ethic recovering from the neck injury, signed a long extension that if he waited a year could get paid more, never hear him talk down to anyone(maybe I'm wrong), wants to stay for a long while, and publicly forgave Chara after everything. Guy is a class act

Hearing what Gorges does for our team on and off the ice, I think it's a no-brainer.

I would actually prefer a french captain. Which goes along with the fact that I would actually prefer it if the Habs could actually draft a great french player one of these decades. Love Fischer though, can't miss prospect. Is there a kill self smiley?

Josh Georges in two years. I agree with Pacioretty, but Pacioretty seems less vocal, but none-the-less a quite leader with his hard work and play on the ice.

I see Galchenyuk taking over captaincy after Georges because after all, He will likely turn out to be our franchise player, no disrespect to MaxPac.

A-Cole
A-Pacioretty
