I think the organization has accepted that he's the 3rd string. No more 1A & 1B nonsense.

so if they cancel a season, does this mean we have him until 2022-23 season instead of 2021-22?

Yeah, I would say we resign him for a lower contract...something like 15 year 35 mill. Until about 2040 or until the end of the lease on our next arena

This will be like any other season.. He'll get paid a full multi-million dollar salary for doing almost nothing.

Rumour says DiPietro joins german club SC Riessersee, which is a 2nd tier club. Riessersee has recently signed Matt D´Agostini and are searching another lockout player.

It is similar to the scene from the Three Amigos. "He infamous." "Oh, that's more than famous."
"He's a legendary keeper." Yes he is, but for all the wrong reasons.
But, one needs to wonder, if he gets hurt over there; hurt as in needs surgery, what does this mean for his NHL career and deep down, I'm sure this will help Garth's decision.

Let him play! Let him play!
I'm glad he's getting a chance to play and not sitting around. Could be good developmental work for the long haul.

Good for him. A chance to get his game back on track and not cost the Isles games in the process. You can't keep Rick down. He just keeps coming back. At least this way he wont hurt the team. I wish him the best of luck over there.

He will be the David Hasselhof of hockey. Irrelevant in America, a LEGEND in Germany.
