i haven't yet seen any write-up of Wilson's injury, just the player's tweets that he had 2 surgeries and was in the hospital for 13 days, and then a comment (by Berlet or Crawford or Cerny) that he was seen in a cast at Whale camp at MSG Training Center.
Don't even know if its upper-body or lower....

what is up with Tommy Grant??? he didnt have a good year in the AHL although it was his first year pro at the age of 25 and is now 26 years old. were teams really going after him last offseason?? does he have any NHL potential or is just a minor leaguer? reason i ask because it seems like its a waste of an NHL contract since he has not done much and doesnt seem much of a prospect at this point. at least a UFA player like Kyle Jean had good stats in the NCAA and is younger at the age of 22.

seems to have speed. that is all i know about him...

The Rangers were hoping that Grant would show a very physical game and add some offensive upside. He has not been playing that type of game though, so he has dropped in the organizational depth chart.

thats a bummer on Read. I remember getting Umberger for I think Rucinsky and Rangers did not sign him , then he became a good player.

I think the Rangers still got a pick instead of Umberger though, not sure who that pick was?

Kreider was wearing #19 in the pre-season games. Miller wore #12 for Plymouth and #11 at the WJC.

#19 was Kreider's BC number. He wore #18 in high school.

I know you guys probably aren't familiar with the Whale's actual fanbase, but their obsession with Scott Tanski is insane. He is a hard worker, true, and he plays with grit, but my god, they are calling him a "huge loss" on comments on Facebook and such. Hilarious.
