1st for Boyle

Boyle adds strength and wins battles. He could play on 2nd line or 4th when needed.

Stalberg-Toews-Kane
Sharp-Pirri/Boyle-Hossa
Saad-Bollannd-Shaw
Kruger-Boyle-Carcillo
Mayers

Agreed, love Boyle. Don't think they would give him up though, seems like they are going for it, but you never know, losing him wouldn't break them and a 1st is really hard to pass up for a player like Boyle but the Hawks need size and a center and are supposed to be contending so you have to do something.

I'd rather have Pirri playing second line C and the 2013 draft is too deep to give up a 1st for a fourth line C.

Boyle is a 4th line C

He is not worth a 1st

In no possible scenario is he a 2nd line C

I've always wanted to get Boyle and give him the Buff in front of the net role on the PP, but yeah, shouldn't be a top 6 player. It would be a big gamble to give a 1st for him, no doubt about it, but the potential is huge, we saw it with Buff.

On the other hand, we have Beach and used a 1st on him, he should be the one to fill those roles. Time to see it though, he's got another half year to a year to be ready.

I feel that a 1st is what it would take-

I also feel like its worth the risk, too, you need to have guys that can win board battles and such-little dudes like Kruger Pirri etc. just will be push overs in many playoff games.

It would be nice to have a strong relative fourth line again. I love how your all experts-

In a perfect world while TT is maturing:

Stalberg - Toews - Kane
Saad - Sharp - Hossa
Shaw - Bolland - Danault
Kruger - Boyle - Bollig

Keith-Seabrook
Leddy-Hammer
Oduya-Monty/Brookbank

I like this roster, obviously the 4th line wingers can change but its solid and deep.

we should throw in stalberg to sweeten the pot. Wouldn't want anybody saying we merely overpaid.
