I love that Vis will be able to provide another boost on the PP and a great outlet pass but how is he at um, you know, defending? If he at like a Streit type level?

Maybe not quite at that level anymore but he is still above average. Definitely worthy of 2nd pairing minutes.
not necessarily true. they may do what they did during Crosbys draft year & put all the teams in the basket for the #1 pick. Knowing our luck, we'll draft 30th

I believe that was a weighted lottery, based on previous standings.
If the season is lost and we go back to that weighted system, the isles will probably pick top 5. I'd much rather have them make the playoffs, even if it is in a shortened season.
Oh no...Visnovsky would honestly be a big reason for our success. Special teams could be huge in a shortened season and he and Streit could be magic on the point during a PP. We need him.
Lubomir Visnovsky got the general manager of HC Slovan Bratislava Maroš Krajci offer to continue Slovan.
Despite the agreement between the NHL, NHLPA and the beginning of the competition overseas, it may not be leaving the popular defender ultimate. Lubo Visnovsky got today before the game against Metallurg Magnitogorsk offer to continue Slovan. After the emotional end of a crowded ďakovačke Slovnaft Arena himself admitted that an offer from the management of our club very well consider.
For more details on a possible continuation Lubomir Visnovsky playing for Slovan bring in the next few hours.

Do we get our second round pick back ? I mean really, he's been trying to avoid playing with the Isles from day one. Kinda wished we lost and got our #2 pick back. Maybe we can trade his rights for a #5 pick. Man we got screwed.
Remember, the Russians want the NHL to play in the 2014 Olympics and KHL/NHL contract disputes, can't be looked upon as anything but a negative distraction.

Unfortunately if he doesn't play for us this season we lose the pick. I was hoping that he comes back so we could at least get a full season out of him or at least be able to dump him off for something at the deadline.

yeah but we're the Islanders and this will get swept under the rug.
