That was a solid shot off the post. His assist was brilliant. Won a battle, found a way to break free from coverage and then a solid pass.

Good to hear that he can be good in a professionnal league when he get put in a scoring role.

Hope this kind of performance will get him to play more. I hated the fact that he's bench so often, but now i kind of like the idea that it might let us see what kind of warrior he really is inside.

Attaboy Sebastian!

He's playing with two defensive specialist though. But I don't mind it as I said earlier; On that line he'll get the puck and be the go to guy offensively.

Would love to see that, Brunnström is likely to be one of the wingers, would be awesome if Collberg could get that right wing spot. His competitor for the spot is likely Mats Rosseli Olsen who, unfortunately for Collberg, has been very impressive so far.

I hope so, but knowing the Frölunda coach, Collberg is likely to be back on the bench when the more established players return. I'll salute Frölunda the day they get rid of that loser coach called Kenta Johansson. Problem is Frölunda like to get big names both in terms of coaches and players. Their current coach is a so called "big name" in SEL with a decent CV, just like many of their NHL-experienced players. Both coach and many players are hugely overrated though. I'd rather see them go for youth and hunger.

It seems like Frölunda are getting Rönnberg next season. He is, ironically, a "big name" after his WJC gold, but he should give young players a chance. Also Frölunda were stupid enough to overspend on established players' wages during the last years, so they can't splash out cash as they used to, which means they must get cheaper (which usually means younger) players. They basically used to be the SEL version of 90's NY Rangers.

Not sure if Collberg can afford "waste" a season though.

He should sign with Brynäs next season, so that he he can learn the art of diving. Järnkrok and Markström will be perfect mentors for him.

If Rönnberg is the coach next season, I would like Collberg to stay there.

I'd say it's very likely. Swedish newspapers are rarely wrong with such strong statements. They claim it's a done deal.

I guess it's easy to say as we will never know....but in Juniors, Collberg would be on top of the scorers in whatever league he'd be playing.

I must say I am quite surprised at the way I am into a drafted foreign player of last year's draft. Quite the underdog story trying to pull it off. Hard not to root for the kid!

Strength seems to be a bit of an issue. But he has a ton of skill. I think that if he can get a bit stronger he will score at a much higher rate.

Why does it matter that he's foreign? Talent is talent.

Without a horse. I don't see him as an underdog. He was expected to go
noticeably higher in the draft. The only thing wrong here, is that his coach
trusts more expereinced players. Not good, but it happens.

fine if you look at it with the whole picture but he still was a 12-13th forward and he is trying to force the coach's hand. I guess that's not really an underdog but he's still having it hard.

Yes, not ideal. But ,if not for the threat of NHL players, it could
still be OK. He is getting a little ice time. And from all accounts, is doing
useful things on the ice.

How is the Swede League (pre-lockout and post-lockout) compared to AHL, in terms of talent ?

With that hair cut, Collberg is looking a lot like Karlsson!
