Yes, on PP. I'm listening to the game on radio (in Finnish). I could pay 12 euros and watch a live stream but alas, the funds...

You can see live scores here. Jokerit ahead 3-0 after two periods.

People all over the world can pay to watch SM-Liiga games if they want to, including North America. 1 game costs 12 euros, 5 games 40 euros and 10 games 70 euros. The site is in Finnish only but Google Translate might help.

I thought the same, just checked the website and the statline reads 6GP 1G 4A.

I thought he has 5GP 1G 4A coming into today, but I'm no expert...

You're quite correct, my mistake. He has 6 points. Stats corrected.

Oi maamme, Suomi, synnyinmaa,
soi, sana kultainen!
Ei laaksoa, ei kukkulaa,
ei vettä, rantaa rakkaampaa
kuin kotimaa tää pohjoinen,
maa kallis isien.

Sun kukoistukses kuorestaan
kerrankin puhkeaa;
viel' lempemme saa nousemaan
sun toivos, riemus loistossaan,
ja kerran laulus, synnyinmaa
korkeemman kaiun saa.

Go Jokerit!

Karlsson almost top 10 in shooting, with such a pathetic shooting percentage. Forever a ppg player. L/L%>Shooting/Shooting%

Erik now has the second worst shooting percentage in the league (2,0), number one is Dan Spang (1,8).

BTW, if there is a place for a third assist, it would have been given to Karlsson today. Beautiful moves on the blue line, pass to Teräväinen, to Filppula, to Moses, to goal.

His shooting percentage in the first half of last year was the basis on which I called that he'd probably keep up or even speed up his point pace. And potentially win the Norris. We all know how that turned out.

He was 1.2% shot percentage on the day Turris was traded to Ottawa. In the second half the season he scored on a pace that would have left him with about 35 goals in an 82 game season.

It also comes with the territory of being a constant shooter from long range and sometimes a SOG without a goal is productive, leading to an assist. But you can only expect it to go up.

It's because he always has the puck. He factored in on some otherwordly number of our goals, and if he didn't, he was probably the 3rd last guy to touch the puck.

He was on the ice for more goals for than anyone else in the NHL last season.

I remember reading that he's flying to Finland today or tomorrow. I think they want him to play Friday.

he was supposed to arrive tuesday for the wednesday night game, but didnt play. Not sure if it was him getting there late, or jussi jokinen staying longer than expected. He's only in karpat because jokinen wanted to come back to north america for some personal stuff.

friday's probably a good bet.

This might be important to remember as time goes on. If he's routinely right at the top of this stat, his insane impact on a game would be undeniable.

What Karlsson does, in general, is make offense very likely and abundant for your team while he's on the ice. He's averaging like 8 shots a game in Finland and sometimes you wish he'd pass less.

, I certainly can't diagree.

Does anyone notice that Karlsson conserves energy much more than other players, using his speed only when necessary? When recovering the puck, he tries to get in people's way while he glides back slowly.

Here's highlights of yesterday's game. Karlsson didn't get an assist for the first goal but look what he does on the blueline on PP. He got the assist for the second goal but unfortunately you don't see it in this highlight reel. The pass to Teräväinen had just happened.

Now that you guys mentioned it, last 15 goals scored by Jokerit, Erik's been on ice in 13 of them.

The positive impact he has on a game is undeniable. I have no problem defending/pimping Karlsson to the point where I may look stupid and irrational, but thats the kind of faith I have in him.

He's a very, very special player, and IMO he'll likely be the next generational talent on D. The way he controls the offense from the backend is like no other player in hockey right now.

The scariest part is how easy he makes it look. After seeing him play, Im not sure I believe that the most offensively talented guys should be playing forward anymore. He always has the puck, his breakout is second to none, and he completely dictates the flow of the game when he's on the ice. Even the best forwards in the league cant do this as well as him, you simply cant control the puck as much as a Dman (with his skills) can.

Im beginning to understand that Karlsson is one of a kind. Just glad he's ours. I've never seen a more exciting player on the Sens, AINEC.

I've been dealing with the lockout fairly well.. Have other stuff to do, haven't missed hockey that much.

Then I checked this thread.

I want to watch Karlsson, dammit! Get the show on the road!

Not in a single player....but the Pizza Line was EASILY more entertaining to watch than any single player this team has ever had. The passing plays they pulled off made it look like they were playing Bantam teams. I have never seen that level of domination.
