I wonder how much the players have to kick up to Fehr for union dues? While I'm still siding with the players for the most part, I think Fehr is a slimy ****.
I've been in a union before so I know how these guys operate. Fehr is looking out for himself here. We've seen how he operates. At this point I trust him less than Bettman, and Daly.
$0, right now.
The union dues are automatic out of the pay checks. Considering there are no pay checks right now... There's no union dues being paid.

I followed his career when he became athletic director at Providence and then left to go to the Devils in 1987, and to see where his career has gone is fantastic," Shero told NHL.com. "I'd just gotten out of school when he went to New Jersey. I think what really stands out to me is his honest approach in dealing with people and with his teams."
Shero can vividly recall spending time with Lamoriello in his early years as an NHL executive.
i think it may have a different pronunciation also.
sort of like my friend's kid named elias. (E-Lie-S) i call him the patty way of saying it and they always correct me.
if that made any sense to you
Yeah I figured it was pronounced that other way too. When Patrick Elias was young in the league announcers often mispronounced his name that way too. I bet no one's surprised I remember that though!
I'm sure some announcers, and PA announcers still pronounce his name that way. Howie Rose has improved, but still has never gotten it right!
I don't know that one. Hockey reference has his only shutout for the Devils in the 83/84 season. I was a big fan of Chico, but I was too young to remember specifics during those years.
Chico does own the Isles shutout record still I believe which is like 25. Hopefully Dumpster Dipietro is done soon, and doesn't pass that record. Highly unlikely he does since he isn't really competitive anymore.
Our team certainly has been very good at making him look like he's still as good as he was before he became plagued with injuries. his whole career. 3 of his last 4 shutouts which span over 5 years have come against us.

for the longest time i never knew.....didnt feel right ill say.
then finally i found it!.......it was in last years media guide on the devils site. (the amount of info and team history, stats in it is nuts)
north stars 2-0.
man, what i would give to see the game in its entirety.

I'm convinced that Howie Rose is doing it wrong on purpose by now. He's had 15 years to figure out that it isn't Eeley-ash, but he still does it.

I hope Deb is right.
I like how Howie is actually pronouncing the SH at the end. If anything I'm surprised he never pronounced it ''Eley-as''. Nothing beats the Panthers PA announcer announcing David Clarkson as David Clark more than once.
Also don't know if Deb is speculating or not. I hate this speculation, and guessing, but really. It's all we have to go by for now. I speculated October 4th. I didn't think either side was this dumb.

I understand what you're saying, but I trust no one less than Bettman.
