Off-Season Work

I'm not sure if you are allowed to trade during lockouts, but Gms are still allowed talk and what not, so make your flames off-season plan.

Glencross, Stempniak and Jackman for Purcell, Hall and Connolly

Giordano, Byron and Butler for Yandle and Gormley

Bouwmeester, Babchuk, Stajan for Seabrook, Frolik, montador

Final lines:

Tanguay Cammy Iginla
Purcell Cervenka Hudler
Baertschi Backlund Connolly
Bouma Jones/Hall Frolik

Seabrook Yandle
Wideman Gormley
Sarich Brodie
Montador Smith

Kipper
Irving

??????????????????

whats your off-season dream plan for the flames.

PS: just doing this because i'm bored and want to bring more activity on the flames boards on these horrible lockout days.

If we lose the whole season I want to see Kipper moved. Last chance to get any real value for him.

None of these teams do any of these trades.

How can you trade during a lockout?

one of the very first things i'd do is send some scouts out to see how overseas players do with NHL talent around them (cervenka's age) at the same time focus on amateur scouting

Chicago would be stupid not to make that deal.

Bouwmeester is only two years older than Keith and with his skating ability would make the perfect partner for him. Alternatively, Chicago splits them and pairs them with Hjalmarsson and Oduya/Rosival. Stajan provides them with a third competent center, someone who can either take the 2C position or play 3C and allow Bolland to play 2C - thereby allowing Kane and Sharp to stay on the wing. Babchuk provides an upgrade in skill on defense without losing size.

Seabrook for Bouwmeester is close to a wash in on-ice value, Seabrook probably has more trade value due to age and contract. But all Chicago has to give up for Stajan + Babchuk is Montador + Frololololik.

The only way Chicago says no is if they're intent on not dealing Seabrook; it's clearly favorable to them and not in a marginal fashion.

Why are we trading Glencross for Purcell? Purcell can't pk and plays a large majority of his 5v5 time with Stamkos and plays with Stamkos and St.Louis on the pp. He will not produce 60+ points with out them he would be the same player with out the defensive edge to his game.

Tampa says HELL NO

Phoenix says HELL NO

Chicago says HELL NO

_______

A trade should benefit both teams involved... (exception: Calgary trades with Toronto).

Put yourself in the other teams shoes and ask "If I was a die hard fan of this team, would I do that trade?"
