... Doughty and Fowler. As a fan of a team that benefited from last minute second-guessing, I'm hoping that lightning strikes twice, since I don't expect us to have a top 3 pick in 2013.
I am trying to figure out who your team is...
- You have a King's player as your avatar HOWEVER, given that Doughty went 2nd overall and there was no second guessing involved, I wonder if you are a Ducks fan.
- If you meant Fowler, your comment would make perfect sense but then why do you have an LA King Avatar?
I am confused.
Edit : Your profile says your favourite team is Anaheim. Who is the avatar of?

i was not particularily impressed tonight. I see all the tools, hes a very good skater right now for his size, but is so damn raw skill wise. He played first pairing and secod pp behind pouliot. He tried to quarterback the pp four or five times, didnt pass, and got forced to dump it in.
His slapshot wasnt very hard either.
watched him last night and thought he was damn good. Didn't play overly physical, but was great in positioning, used his stick well, had a few great long stretch passes and was constantly firing away with his big slapshot.
Odd. He started against Seattle, and played first pairing minutes all game. Though he played behind Pouliot and only got secondary pp minutes. I noticed his solid stick work and positioning, and his will to fire off his shot, but it looked really slow to me. Maybe he just flubbed the 2-3 slappers he tried to take. He did look overly nervous handling the puck, and even fell down on the blue line trying to stickhandle and caused a shorthanded 2 on 1.
I would rather have seen Jones with either Pouliot or Wotherspoon and have Viveiros and Hanson as the 3rd pairing.
Pouliot and Rutkowski have been a pair for a long time (especially on the PP), doubt they would split them apart and I understand why Wotherspoon is with Hanson, but Tyler and Seth would be a awesome duo to watch.
He had a few awkward moments handling the puck, including a couple of giveaways. He had some great moments, too; like racing back to nullify a breakaway after a broken play. I've seen almost all of his games, and at no point would I say that he's looked average. He's just going to need a little bit of time to acclimate to his new surroundings.
A couple American posters said he looked very good - 1 goal.
Well he was visibly exhausted but he did show a lot of his tools out there. His performance at the U-18 is still the driving force behind his hype IMO. Still haven't seen him hit that level yet.

The WHL is a high level of competition. It will be interesting to see how he fares.
I saw Jones has 1 pt in 6 games as of right now. At what point do you guys think his point production will really affect his draft rankings and point total do you guys expect from him?

At the start of the year I said 40 points was my expectation, so I'm shocked a bit at his slow start.
In the end I don't think those types of numbers really matter to most decision makers at the NHL level, compared to how they are viewed by people on websites like this.
