The Sens are not playing right now but we can remember the best moments of last year. Which ones are yours?
My list:
Rundblad’s stretch pass to Greening vs Toronto Oct 30 2011
Murray trading for Turris vs Rundblad & 2nd
Eerie night when number 11 was everywhere
- Alfie scored the 11th of the season, the game winner and his 400th vs Calgary Dec 30 2011
- Foligno’s 11th
- Zach Smith 11th
Overtaking the NHL All Stars game in Ottawa with deserving Sens players (Alfredsson, Spezza, Michalek, Karlsson & Greening)
- Spezza and Alfie participating in the hardest shot - both over 100 mph
You pretty much nailed the big ones... Although I'd add Neil/Carkner defending Karlsson in the playoffs, Phillips' 1000th game (with 2 goals, including game winner!) and maybe the time Nordiques Nation visited.
That was indeed the beginning of some massive troll jobs by Ottawa. They tied and then won the game with what like seconds left? Pretty sure it was going to be Columbus' first win of the year as well.
Overall, a lot of entertainment from this year's squad.
I think it's important to note "I 'aint even mad".
As a fanbase, I was proud of the fact that we were willing to let the team settle with the new coach and new system, and realize that instant competitiveness may not happen right away. (unlike other legendary summer teams in Ontario) The fanbase was really taking positives out of the early drubbings.
I think that general feeling permeated the dressing room, and lightened things up a fair amount, allowing them to play with less pressure and turn things around.
I also have to admit that picking up Bishop was fun in that he was an NHL-ready goalie who was had relatively cheaply and who could have easily gone to other teams with significant issues in net.
I'll add Neil hammering Staal, getting a penalty, stepping out of the box and destroying Ruutu. Only, of course, to get a ******** penalty. Crowd was booing the refs for the rest of the game.

Sadly the feed doesn't catch the Carkner/Stewart fight, but working there that night, they had it on the feed for the TV's outside my stand and I remember Carkner just absolutely laying into Stewart.
The Sens destroying Pittsburgh, 8-4! (Also it was the only game I went to this season.) I was pretty worried cause the Sens had only scored 6 goals in the previous 5 games (that one game vs Montreal was probably the most frustrating game of the season), but the Sens prevailed

Makes me miss Carkner already. Loved the team spirit Ottawa showed last season.
Game was hilarious. The panthers were just brutal. It looked like the Ottawa Senstrotters versus a midget house league team, recorded on an antique camera in an empty dark warehouse. Video kept cutting out at inopportune times. The announcers were massive homers, and the refs were brutal.

Neil checking Heatley in the home opener.
Our epic comeback in NY during the regular season.
Foligno's game winner with a few seconds left in the 3rd period vs the Panthers.
The atmosphere for games 3 and game 4 vs NY
The heckling of Leaf players at the AS draft

That game really saved us from a board-wide implosion.
Let's not forget the insane string of comeback wins the team put together in the fall. Easily the most enjoyable season of sens hockey I can remember. Why won't this lockout end?!!
