Doesn't Chico own a really weird record? Like the winningest game 7 goalie of all time or something?

EDIT: Ahhhhh, he's won more elimination games than anyone else. Either that, or he's just considered to have the "best" elimination game record at 7-0. Second is Roloson at 6-0.

Maybe I'm confused, but didn't Roloson lose game 7 of the ECF in 2011?

Chico was a great example of when a great goalie goes to a BAD team. A goalie screwed by the system who will have a ****** save percentage, and GAA. Those early Devils team were very bad. It wasn't because Chico was no good anymore. He wasn't exactly in his prime, but no one else would have been any better during that time. Probably not even as good playing for those Devils teams.

Good call. The article I got that from was written as a preview to game 6. So now Rollie's 7-1 and Chico's 7-0. 3 of Roloson's elimination games came in the first round that year against Pittsburgh.

Actually I think that was the 'home' opener, iirc we were actually beginning the season tomorrow in Washington.

Yeah maybe it was. Regardless **** this lockout!

I really can't put into words how absolutely mind numbingly pathetic it is that we're in a lockout, 7 short years after a year long one ended.

If the NHL is pissed about the $240 million they've lost cancelling these games, then they should cave, and get a deal done.

I'm tired of reading the phrase: No progress in latest CBA negotiations.

fwiw, another reason the Doan negotiations too so long this summer, apparently he even was thinking of retiring after his daughter was in a serious accident this offseason.

Glad everything is better for him. That sucks.

Well after all these talks for not a DAMN THING! I'm almost to a point of needing to come to terms with the fact this whole season might be lost. I think realistically at this point we shouldn't expect anything before Christmas or the Winter Classic. Only way I think that will change this is if the NHL caves into the PA's next proposal whenever that might be. It's pretty clear both sides are dragging their feet, and we will probably see at least a month in between proposals each time one is shot down.

Way to go, ESPN. Can't wait for October 18th when I can watch SKA and Kovalchuck take on Sibir.

ESPN's coverage of hockey has persistent errors and barely seems to be trying. What else is new?

We will never know since all the sticks are carbon-fiber now.

Kovy's been using illegal sticks his whole career anyway. Didn't Barry Trotz already expose him?

This phrase is mind numbingly annoying. It's like nails on a chalkboard. I'm using that as my user title!

Many of the top goal scorers use illegal sticks routinely.

Speaking of which, here's a picture of Kovalchuck (and his agent) after his last game in the KHL.

When asked how he felt about his team's win that night, he responded "Did someone say WOOD!?"

These morons need a mediator.

But, according to Daly, we're not at that point yet
