Thing is Jeter may have to DH. The sad thing is the guy on one leg has been the Yanks best hitter.

Raul in lf, Ichiro in cf, Swisher in rf???? Just throwing it out there.

I wouldn't mind if Jeter has to dh, Nix has been killing the ball last night and tonight.

If not for Ibanez, this series is over.

Raul isn't an effective fielder anymore. I wouldn't be against it though.

Wont even be mad if they lose, because detroit is going to school them.

Agreed, only reason I suggested it is because CC is on the mound tomorrow, probably won't be many fly balls.

If the Yanks win tomorrow, and that's a big if, just saw games 1 and 2 are Saturday and Sunday. So obviously Andy would be on normal rest for game 1, but who would pitch game 2, can't be Hughes, CC, or Andy. Kuroda on 3 days rest? Nova? Phelps?

I dunno, the Orioles are one of those charmed teams this year. They win a lot of games they shouldn't and seem to have luck on their side. One would think their luck is bound to run out soon, but I've been saying that for a few months now. Detroit is clearly a superior team, but it's silly to write off the Baltimore.

Whatever happens, I hope we've seen the last of Granderson & Swisher.

Let some team like the Pirates, worship those regular season 25 HRs and a million K's.

Neither one them is cut for October.

Over his first two playoffs with the Yankees, Granderson had an OPS over 1.000. Now he has a bad series, and he's not cutout for playoff baseball? Come on.

2k2 you know this is New York. It's a what have you done for me lately sports-state. Nobody is bringing up A-Rod in '09 these days.

Regardless I want him gone. He's an incredibly flawed hitter.
It's either a HR or a strikeout. He literally does nothing else.

Even though he struck out a lot, he was a more balanced hitter in Detroit.

They'll lose because there are only 3 people or 4 depending on gardner that can get base hits w.o home runs: Jeter, Chavez, Ichiro.

A-rod benched. Nice contract extension, Cashman. This overrated GM has pissed so much money down the toilet it's comical.

I don't like Cashman either but Arod latest contract isn't on him.

He did not give Arod that contract. It was Hank Steinbrenner.
In fact, he never wanted to bring Arod back after he opted out. Hank overruled him....

Except he didn't give A-Rod a contract extension. That was all Hank.
