They would find a way to not use him correctly anyway.

Sounds like another Pittsburgh team that we discuss around here a lot...

I'd be okay with that, Te'o is a beast!

If anyone catches quotes from our defense.. please pass 'em through here. There is no ****ing way Taylor can defend his game.

I honestly see this team finishing 6-10 right now. Most likely picking 11th-13th.

Gives us a shot at Te'o and Simon.

Actually this week there was an interview with one of the defensive back and Tim Benz and whoever the DB was said something along the lines "the defense isn't really struggling, we're 5th (in the effing stupid way the NFL "ranks" defenses) in the league in defense."

So yeah, expect the Steelers variation of Bylsma's "We just need to play our game" shtick. They're still a top 10 defense after this game if you believe the draconian NFL rankings.

At least those teams had a chance to sneak into the playoffs with an 8-8 record. Steelers on the other hand will just worry about pushing around Brandon Weeden to assert their dominance as the 3rd dog in the division.

I still can't get over how good Ben is this year and it's going to waste. Just more ammunition that the team needs to go back to "Steeler football". "See what happens when you throw it 40 times a game!"

Yeah but back here in the real world they don't pass the eye test.

This is how I want the draft to go, yes, I'm already talking about the draft. Considering we go 6-10 and pick between 11-13.

1. Manti Te'o (ILB)
2. John Simon (DE)
3. Matt Elam (S)
4. Desmond Trufant (CB)
5. defense
6. defense
7. defense

He hasn't been that good the last 2 games though.

The top priorities in the draft as of right now (in order):

Cornerback
Safety
Left Tackle
Inside Linebacker

If the D is this bad all year I wouldn't be surprised to see some guys go, possibly even LeBeau in one of those forced retirements ala Arians.

He was exceptional in the first three games, solid in the Eagles game, and surprisingly off rhythm tonight. It wasn't a great game from him but he certainly shouldn't be given the blame for the loss as some Pittsburgh radio stations might.

That's Mike Adams. He'll be starting next year instead of Starks.

He'll probably just ignore the media like he did after he blew the playoff game in Denver.

Oh, my bad. Thought Adams played right tackle for some reason.

Just finished watching the game after work...and...wow.

Wow.

Losing to the Titans. I don't care if you're starting back-up running backs on the offensive line, that is inexcusable. The **** have a 37 year-old QB, a wide receiver group with a combined IQ of -2, and a lousy defense...and that just happened (hours ago).

The thing that blows my mind is that, in all of this, is that almost no one is saying running back is a position of need. Baron Batch blows, Chris Rainey is more of a receiver than a running back, apparently so is Redman (?!), and Mendenhall is made out of tissue paper. We have to stop hoping that we'll just pull a running back out of our ass and actually go get one. In the first round, hell no, but we need to address this issue soon.

It almost pains me to say this...but Ben Roethlisberger deserves better.

Pathetic display.

Ike Taylor has been beyond pathetic. I've never thought Ike was as good as some here thought, but I'd gladly take Ike of the past over this piece of trash that we're seeing right now.

I have no idea why this team is so injury prone every single year. It doesn't seem like any other team has huge names in key positions fall like we do.

Ben Roethlisberger has been incredible, and Heath Miller has been just as good. I'd be shocked if Heath wasn't in the top 5 TE's in receiving this season. Speaking of wideouts, I'm beginning to question if I'd want to give Mike Wallace huge money. Sure, he's good for those 1 or 2 big plays a game, but 2 receptions tonight, 2 receptions last game. I think if someone offered a 1st rounder for him, I'd take it, and just retool this next draft as we'll probably be picking in the top half if this keeps up.

We need a running back. We obviously can't spend a 1st round pick on one, but we need a running back somewhere in the to part of the draft.

Ike Taylor was never recovered since Denver playoff game last year. Absolutely horrible performance by him last night. 3 friggin' pass interferences and constantly get beat.

It's a shame that Ben might be playing his best year so far. His interceptions and sacks are much less than any of his previous years.

I would absolutely love to draft Manti Te'o if he's available. I agree with JTG, I wouldn't give a lot of money to Wallace. We need some space cap for rebuild our defense. Hampton will be gone for sure but Harrison, Foote, Taylor may not be back.

This is kinda what I was thinking last night. Inconsistent, no identity, soft. Do not like.
