Admirals fall 3-2 in a shootout tonight at Rockford.
Lajunen and Bang with the goals. Smith stopped 10 of 11 and Hellberg went the rest of the way holding strong in a 3rd period when Milwaukee was constantly on the kill and trapped in their own zone.
Next exhibition game is Friday night in Milwaukee against Chicago.

According to Aaron Sims, another goal apparently went in on Hellberg, but no one seemed to see it and the refs didn't review it.
Bang: 6'3" 201
Van Guilder: 6'2" 201
Watson: 6'3" 185
BIIIIIIIIIIIIIGGGGGGGGGGGG
Also, looking at the roster and the preliminary lines, it looks like the first 3 lines are set.
You have the 1st line: Bourque-Mueller-Puustinen
The BIG line: Bang-Van Guilder-Watson
The Guelph line: Henerson-Beck-Latta
The 4th line looks kinda mishmoshed. I could see 7 guys fighting for 4-5 spots; ABM, Reid (Anyone shocked he was signed?), Ryan, Shalla, Henderson, Lajunen, Cehlin.
Defensively, I'm wondering if the Ads will cut 4 D-men and wait for Ellis to get healthy. The injury came early and he might be healthy a couple of weeks into the season.
I would be squeeing like a teenage girl at this roster but the fact is this is tempered by the sigh of OKC's roster.
Jon Greenberg, President of the Admirals is having an online chat on Wednesday at 1 PM. You can ask questions during the chat or you can send them in now at the link.

Yeah, I remember that. Rockford never complained and none of the players stopped. Aaron Sims and Ryan Miller were sitting together tweeting. I'm not sure either is 100% that the goal went in.
Ohai, back for another quick update about Åberg and Pickard!
Pickard's still playing superb, he has let in a couple of weak ones, but he's made up for it with some unreal saves aswell. Considering he's having the weakest defense ever infront of him, I'd give his first 9 games a strong 8/10.
Åberg is finally starting to get his stuff together, after a really weak start he's scored in two straight games. (Latest goal at around halfway in the clip: http://www.viasat.se/content/klipp-hockey?clip=281550)

I'm really glad to see Chet turning things around. I am tough on him, but it'd be awesome if he somehow would turn into a decent asset.

So, can we officially give up on COR yet?
No. Remember that the Admirals have some extra guys who should be in Nashville. So COR gets pushed down by them. He can be the big man in Cincinnati for awhile. When the Preds start playing, I expect 4 guys going up from Milwaukee. Then there will be room for COR here.

Still, I don't see much of an NHL future for a guy who can't make the AHL team at this point. Hope he proves me wrong.
Good to see our 2nds off to good starts. Those two will be grouped together in my mind for as long as they are on the team, and I will always be comparing them (much like Beck/Latta, Josi/Blum, Smith/Wilson, all for different reasons).
Your prospect Pontus Åberg is being paired up with Gabriel Landeskog in Djurgården today. They were paired up during the last game when a couple of injuries occured and Åberg seemed to get a boost by it.
Åberg started the season slow and was quite a disappointment but has now scored three games in a row.
Edit: And btw, Chet Pickard is doing OK for us. Haha.
