With Milan Hedjuk being traded to the Detroit Red Wings, controversy ensues. "I don't understand why they traded me, I don't have much time left playing, to trade me now with the team in a playoff position didn't make sense", Hedjuk told a source. "Especially to a team like the Wings, who have had a history with us, it feels weird coming to the other side but I am excited at the opportunity, I love Colorado and wish them nothing but the best; but this just stings"
Milan had recently been demoted to the 4th line after production had not been up to par, with Chuck Kobasew taking his spot on the 3rd line.
"With no 2nd round pick at this upcoming draft, which is supposed to be a deep one, we needed to add more picks. This gives us two 3rd round picks to offset the loss of our second rounder. We greatly admire Milan's service to the club during his time here but we needed to maximize our future's possibilities and he understands that. He still goes down as one of the greats to dawn the Avs logo"
Well Oduya hasn't been put on waivers yet and you Havnt claimed Montador yet. I really HOPE you get both those guys because I have no room on my roster for either of them but they are a really nice bottom pairing.
It's not official yet but it looks like you're going to have a very legitimate D core through trades. THIS is why I like limited trades. Champs knew what his needs were and he made calculated and specific decisions to make his team better. This is the exact sort of thing I was aiming for with my league. Glad to see its coming to fruition.

With the way the pens season has gone the team felt like it needed to shake things up big time. The pens traded superstar C Evgeni Malkin to the Dallas stars along with Brandon Sutter for Derek Roy, Loui Eriksson and a 1st round pick. "We feel like our team is better of having Roy as our 2nd line C, and having Eriksson play with Crosby then we do having Malkin on our 2nd line. We feel that this is a good move for us now and for the future. Also out of respect for Geno we felt it would be fair to him if he were playing on another team's top line as he has been restricted here this season playing behind Sid. we are excited to see what Roy and Eriksson can do for us and we thank Geno for his years here in Pittsburgh

Approved.
have been looking for depth at C ever since joining the league as Vernon Fiddler as our 2nd line C just wasn't cutting it, and with our high end prospects still a couple of years away, needed to make a move. This deal also makes the Stars younger and brings us our new Franchise player since the days of Mike Modano, while only sacrificing a couple million in cap space.
Blockbuster trade between the Nashville Predators & the Detroit Red Wings
To Detroit: Shea Weber, Andrei Kostitsyn, 4th round pick 2014
To Nashville: Henrik Zetterberg, Ian White, 2nd round pick 2014
Didn't see this deal! Wow Nashville just got A LOT more dangerous. Hoover was good enough without any legitimate scoring options and now he adds one of the best players in the game.
Looking at how the Central is going to shake out...

Sad part is I took over Nashville we they were so far out of the playoffs.
Do I have 2 more trades available? This is the first I've made
Webers an absolute beast to play against himself He might not fly down the wing past your dmen, but try going into the corner first or breaking down the wing when he's on patrol.
