Well, how does a team in Phoenix help the league??
It's only a thorn in its side.
The particular organization (or lack thereof) in Phoenix now, or having a team there at all?

Today them, tomorrow us. That's why I don't back down, and I don't criticize our fellow downtrodden.
Today us. We're getting consistently blamed for the lockout.

Thanks, Howson, for cleaning up MacLean's toxic waste. Welcome, Kekalainen; let's get good things built!
It's from July, but the paragraph about his stats with the CBJ are startling. I actually liked Stralman, but he was often "sick~injured" with some sort of sinus deal, if I recall correctly. As he was one of the many whipping boys here, the paragraph below shocks me. Maybe more of a reflection of how bad the team was, rather than how good Anton is???
In 2009-10, Stralman established career-highs in games played (73), goals (six), assists (28), points (34), penalty minutes (37), power play goals (four), power play assists (18), power play points (22), and shots on goal (121) as a member of the Blue Jackets.
He led Columbus defensemen in points, assists, power play goals, power play assists, and power play points, and tied for second among team defensemen in goals that season. He also led all Columbus skaters in power play assists, tied for second in power play points and fifth in power play goals.
Note that all of those are 2009-2010 numbers. He followed that up in 2010-2011 (after coming within an hour of taking us to an arbitrator for the first time ever) with being fifth in points among defensemen, behind Fedor Tyutin (who was two points behind him in 09-10), Kris Russell, Jan Hejda, and Grant Clitsome.
Saw the article on the TSN front page where Nash had a MRI on his shoulder and there is no "serious" damage. For a second I was nervous then I remembered.... He's a Ranger... rofl
Seriously hope he remains uninjured and look forward to seeing him lead the Rangers to 9th in the East.
Tonight at 7 pm, NBCSN will broadcast the Notre Dame -Maine hockey game. I believe this will be a chance to see at least one Jackets prospect, T. J. Tynan. Are there others of interest?
Edit: Martin Ouellette is one of three goalies for Maine, so no way of knowing if he'll be in net.

You do try to look at the best-case scenarios moving forward once the CBA does get done, and you gotta look for the cancers and you gotta cut out the cancers and I think that when you look at Bill Daly and Bettman, they've been looting this game for far too long.
Is anyone out there hiring? I'd like to get a raise up to $3,600,000 a year (which would be 1% of what Versteeg is making this year) so that I can feel what it's like to be "looted". Hell, I'll take a raise up to 1% of that ($36,000) and see how I feel.
I think what we really need to do is take up a collection for poor Kris Versteeg. A couple weeks ago, I had to fill up my gas tank only halfway so that I'd be able to still pay a bill. I'm thankful that I don't have it as bad as poor Kris Versteeg.
We are organizing a most handsome player in the league poll tournament for the poll board, could you guys give me 3 of the most handsome players on the team?
We are doing a 68 player tournament and are doing 2 from each team with 8 players as wildcards.

Current players only? If we're doing former players, I nominate Pascal Leclaire, Lyle Odelein, and Jody Shelley with Raffi Torres as a wild card.
