Combo breaking the several page long string of NHL13 posts, I'd just like to say that while I was knocked offline I dug out my old Duke Nukem 3D Atomic Edition CD and was glad I had already downloaded the source port for it.
This game is still one of the greatest of all time.
This game is really, REALLY starting to **** me the *** off! I can't get any better I swear, I play on average 10 games the past couple nights, or until my hands get sore and I am still averaging 1.5 goals with about 20+ shots below circles.
I know I sound like a little whinny female dog, but little things like the lag there is in passing, drives me nuts. It seriously seems like there is a full second response from when I push the button to when the player actually passes the puck.
I need the lockout to end right meow so I have something else to look forward to after work that doesn't remind me how much I struggle at video games!
Besides the third one that just came out, which is the best one of the other 4 that have already been out for a while? And do you need to finish/understand previous versions to understand current or can you jump into any game and understand what is going on?

As a few of us mentioned a bit back, dirty goals are the way to go. It's hard to score in transition, so it's usually best to set up in the zone rather than taking that nice easy shot off the rush because you won't pick up the rebound. The distant wrap around still works most of the time too (where you come from behind the net and put the puck upper right short side) but keep an eye on the goalie as they sometimes stick to the post (when you should keep the same movement but shoot low and far side).
NHL 13 is already starting to get too easy for me if I decide to play the whole game. I'll have to start doing what I did for all the others...simulate then intervene and try for a comeback. Keep shooting wrist/snapshots to the corners, deke in front of the goalie (works really well...depending on shot go forehand to backhand to forehand), things of that nature.
As far as Assassin's Creed goes....just a hell of a series. If I had to rank the four that are currently out (I, II, Brotherhood and Revelations) I would probably go Brotherhood - Revelations - II - I.

I think that ranking for the AC series is dead on.
I'm starting to seriously consider putting up some gameplays of NHL 13 and for sure Black Ops 2 when it comes out on my Youtube channel. What materials do I need to capture gameplay and put it on my laptop so I can upload it?
I'm also considering the possibility of doing a commentary as well, what materials would I need for that? Would my regular Sony bluetooth headset work or do I need a special microphone?
Tried to explain Assassin's Creed to the girlfriend yesterday.
"It's the first game...it's not supposed to be very good. Well the second game was fun because...it was the Renaissance? And there were puzzles...and a conspiracy theory...I don't know why it was good. But the first game seems kind of boring. The new ones coming out soon, it's about the Revolutionary War! Yeah I guess it's a history game..."
Ha. "No son, I just used him as my landing pad.. And his stomach armor sharpens swords. All that activity drained him and now he's taking a quick nap."
I liked last year when he referred to everyone as "the guy" and didn't have a concept of death, so "the guy fell down." It's a little creepy when your kid tells you his stuffed animals are dead.
