Another loss ... the Oilers are well on their way to yet another first overall pick.

Breaking news....

GM Clouston just completed a trade for Heatley. Commenting on the trade, Clouston was heard saying something about how Heatley was needed on the PP.

Heatley replied how happy he was to be back with the Sens and how the team's success is more important than his own stats.

Chris Neil is the first one to welcome him back.

Clouston calls up Cannone and waives Kyle Turris, stating: "He might be 25 with no NHL experience, but he's better at hockey than YOU."

Sens defense has been really slacking since the start of the year, hearing we might make a blockbuster trade with Tampa for their franchise defense man.

McKenzie said something along the lines of Spezza+Lehner for Brian Lee.

I`m hearing Clouston is already at the airport awaiting Lee`s arrival but meets jobless Gerber and offers him 6 year contract to solidify the goaltending position with Lehner gone and Anderson out 6-8 years with deep cut on his left big-toe from a fencing battle with Auld after a dispute of who has the best haircut.

Spezza got dealt already for Fisher, on the advice of Twelvie.

You guys need to look at the bright side, at least Condra is leading the league in goals.

I could swear we've only played one game, and in that game, we were outscored 9-1 by Gomez.

Erik Condra got traded after the game for Columbus' 7th. Columbus won their second game 14-9 with Condra having 13 goals (all on the empty net). Then we traded Smith, JOB, and a 1st for Condra

So we got a 7th for a guy with no goals. Then we shipped off two bottom-6ers and a 1st for the league leading goal scorer?

That's incredible asset management. Give Clouston an extension now.

This thread is already stale...

I`m hearing Melnyk has resigned from his position as owner after being offered a chance to play along side Condra.

Clouston is now team owner, if you haven`t guessed it.

Hearing we've acquired Dustin Byfuglien from the Jets, the reasoning being Alfie was complaining about a lack of nachos. The arrival of such a large player will prompt management to pour more money into concession stand items, mainly nachos.
lame attempt at humor

This isn't getting enough love.

Gerber traded to Chicago for Ray Emery.

Emery comments: " I'm excited to do some more cocaine and crash my SUV in Ottawa "

We should trade for Penner ASAP; we need more syrup.

Syrup and nachos.... mmmm.

Do you think trading for Heatley would be a good idea? It won't take much to get him. He'll be a good weapon up fron..
Nah we we bury him in Elmira, then when he refuses to show up, suspend him, he'll retire.

Coach/GM/Owner Clouston already traded for him.

Trying to guess our lines for next game.

Heatley - Fisher - Michalek
Latendresse - Cannone - Condra
Greening - Leclaire - Silfverberg
Heatley - Regin - Neil

Picard - Karlsson
Byfuglien - Lee
Gonchar - Methot
x-Phillips, Lundin

Emery
Bishop
x-Auld

IR: Anderson, Cowen

Transactions:
Jared Cowen injured after collision with a 747 to the head area. Out indefinitely with Unspecified Body Injury.
Cory Clouston hired as head coach.
Daniel Alfredsson retires, signs AHL contract with Marlies.
Clouston promoted to assistant GM; still head coach.
Pascal Leclaire signed to one year, one-way contract.
Jonathan Cheechoo signed to one year, one-way contract.
Bryan Murray traded to Minnesota for Dany Heatley.
Clouston promoted to full-time GM; still head coach.
Jason Spezza traded to Nashville for Mike Fisher.
Kyle Turris waived, Pat Cannone recalled.
Robin Lehner to Tampa Bay for Brian Lee.
Alex Auld signed to one year, one-way contract.
Craig Anderson goes on IR following 'dressing room accident' (est. return is 6-8 years).
Martin Gerber signed to 6 year, one-way contract.
Erik Condra traded to Columbus for Columbus 2013 7th Round Pick.
Zack Smith, Jim O'Brien, Ottawa 2013 1st Round Pick traded to Columbus for Erik Condra.
Eugene Melnyk sells the Ottawa Senators to Cory Clouston. Clouston also remains team coach and GM.
Jonathan Cheechoo extended 4 years.
Jonathan Cheechoo bought out.
Future Considerations traded to Winnipeg for Dustin Byfuglien.
Martin Gerber traded to Chicago for Ray Emery.

Jesus that's a lot of movement for considering we've played all of one game.

Pascal LeClaire has been signed by the team as the head goaltending coach and back-up glass repair guy, or the role of playing the glass in-case one gets shattered. Costly investment but Sens been on a unequal terms with the local glass company ever since Jim O'Brien seduced all the female staff with his seductive looks.
