I think they've said they won't play anywhere unless the NHL cancels the whole season. I've also read they wouldn't mind sitting the whole season no matter what.
Yea, I was just wondering if they've changed their opinion.
I'm still amazed about these "NASCAR etc. ads" comments from NA hfboarders... you guys never saw european hockey shirts before for real? Every single time the same stuff when somebody posts a picture

And my answer is always I'd rather have ads on jerseys than corporate shills as announcers whoring out products and their broadcast without integrity. I die a little inside everytime I hear an NHL commentator introduce some made up segment brought to you by....
That's a rather special thing, for all I know. We don't have it in Germany. I know it exists in Finland, and I think it at least did in Switzerland some time. But that's all I know in that regard.
In the German 2nd division (now with Simmonds, Stewart, D'Agostini, DiPietro and Hall) each team's leading scorer has to wear a golden helmet. They introduced this last seasons for whatever reason. Looks tacky as hell but what can you do?

Without those ads there wouldn´t be any decent pro-leagues at all in europe Teams get lots of money from those sponsors.
Yeah, I can understand the reasons behind it. It's just weird to me since I mainly follow hockey here in North America.
Please forgive my ignorance as I'm just starting to follow European Hockey as a result of the lockout. It definitely must be an exciting time for those overseas as the influx of talent is surely a boon for those leagues.

that's extremely stupid, so I expect the NHL to adopt this soon as well
I cannot believe that he is playing in a German league... They actually want him? Did another insurance company insure this move? I am dumbfounded
Both their goalies are injured so they needed a replacement, so why not go with someone who will put your team in the spotlight?
Now, whether it's a good idea to replace injured goalies with a guy known for his injuries is another matter
The golden helmet is awesome and an honor for players to wear.
And the ads on sweaters might not looks nice but these teams are not swimming in the millions that NA enjoyes (and fights over). Its that or no hockey in Europe so dont hate!
Rosenborg IK in Norway has signed Jack Skille. He choose to signed there because of his great grand father is from Trondheim and he wants to get to know his family
Deryk Engelland signed for this team too I believe. He'll play for free.
