On the bolded, I apologize.

But for you to tell me once again, even after I posted that all the reporters sitting right there said that it nicked the pole, that it was foul, is just asinine. Also, I don't understand how hard it is to see the ball clearly change direction on the ultra zoomed in replay.

People are seeing different things...

AnthonyMcCarron Two fans from LI in Sec. 209 said McLouth's ball was "not even close" and "clearly foul." Thanks to intrepid NYDN reporter Christian Red.

Two fans said it was foul? No way! The whole section also yelled it was foul when asked earlier. Yankee fans at the game are sure to be telling the truth

Still not feeling great about this offense.

I think they lose to the Tigers.

Facing Detroit in a 7 game series rather than 5 will do wonders for the Yankees. The Yankees have a deeper pitching staff and if they shut down Miggy and Prince, they'll win. It'll take Verlander having to pitch games 1,4, and possibly 7 for Detroit to have a chance, IMO.

Verlander will pitch game 3 and either 6 or 7. He doesn't have enough rest to start games 1 or 2.

Andy tomorrow, ? Sunday?

talk about winning a series by the skin of your teeth but i'll take it lol as much as cashman gets bashed on he has made some good signings over the years such as sabathia who has been outstanding this postseason and texiera. plus the small signings have helped alot like chavez, ibanez, and kuroda. now on to an even more tougher series against detroit.

not that it would have mattered considering that the orioles would have scored 2 runs instead of 1 and the yankees still scored 3 but that ball did hit the foul pole. i just saw the highlight and when they zoomed in really really close you could see it bounce off the right side of the pole.

Nope.

I'm serious about the foul pole. From the replays I've watched it didnt look like it hit the pole.

And the CC comment is a shot at someone who said earlier this season that CC is not an ace while he's clearly top-10 pitcher in the game.

Why wasn't the nationals' closer on the mound?

Apparently the guy they sent up folded like a lawn chair under the pressure of this game.

https://twitter.com/search/realtime?q=%23natitude <-- lots of trolling here lol

thats why its so extremely important to have a dominant closer in the postseason. we as yankee fans have been so spoiled to have rivera as our closer. the guy is in a league of his own when it comes to the postseason.
