I hope he grows then, Fiala on my rinknet is listed at 5'7 and I know when i saw him he looked shorter than that...he does have a high skill level, but I think right now at this height he will not go 1st round...if he gets to 5'10 or 5'11 I might see it........Barbashev is a good prospect, far from just a marginal NHL prospect IMO.
right now Fiala is at least 5-10 maybe 5-11, saw him at Hlinka Cup.
time will tell who is right on Barbashev but he has never impressed me much, good hands, skating ability, little hockey sense/instinct, creativity.

Fiala I know when I saw him this year was short short...and even on rinknet which is used by the NHL scouts as well he is still 5'7.....he must have had a major growth stunt

He is 5-7 on rinknet because he is 5-7 on current Swiss roster. However all heights/weights on Swiss U18 roster are outdated. Rinknet is far from flawless in case of European players.
I saw him two weeks ago, he is 5-10 for sure.
scoutman what do you know about adrian kempe? Does he play a similar game to his brother? i remember when Mario played for the fog devils i thought he was going to be a future stud but i guess things change.

Well he must have grown like i said recent....if that is the case he is potential top 2 round pick...I really want to see him have a year in the Swedish league before making judgement on him.

Amazing stats especially internationally. Though I don't know with Nations he was facing.
It seems that his name vanished pretty quickly, so I'll just restate the claim that Dane Nikolaj Ehlers might very well go in top-30, and maybe even top-10.
He has extreme offensive weapons. I'm sure he is among the top-10 talent right now, but of course that can change over the next couple of years.
As much I would love that to happen, MHL players will never ever go that high in draft again. And I'm curious actually how much have you seen of Bukarts to put him that high?
Ranking players on where they project to be selected is called a mock draft.
Otherwise a ranking should be based on the quality of play or projection of future play.

Agreed, as a dane, im very exited about this one!
Have been raving about him for some time now.
Wish we could know more about him.
He is a bit of an unknown player in Denmark, unlike his father.
No love for Czech forward Martin Reway?? He's having a good start in Gatineau this season. Also, Ivan Barbashev is far from a marginal prospect. He's got a very bright future ahead of him , dynamic player.
watched ekblad and dal colle last night. dal colle could be a top 10 pick, cant believe how good he has been thus far. Ekblad is such an old school defender, i love it

He is small (178 cm / 5'10").
And he is 2013 draft class.
And he came from SLOVAKIA!
I remember people talking about William Nylander when he was in like novice or atom and how he had unbelievable hands for his age, cool how he's turned into a legit prospect. Crazy how he grew up playing in a million different places growing up and has still developed into a nice looking prospect, wonder how much his dad has spent with him working on his game considering how much he was away when he was growing up.
