Huge 1-on-1 saves by Scrivens on Girgensons and later Legault.

Ahh now the Amerks are playing! Nice play by Hodgson setting up Foligno. Real nifty move by Girgs to the net that he couldn't quite finish, unfortunately. Finally putting some real pressure on the Marlies though.

Well, they're taking way too many penalties, as Tarnasky's in the box now for goalie interference.

Ranger takes a tripping penalty; Amerks will have a 1:42 PP in 18 seconds.

Rankin with the high sticking penalty negates that PP, figures.

Hodgson's skating looks a lot better, maybe it's just me?

Nice play by Adam.

Pysyk is a ridiculously smart player. Always seems to make the smart, simple play, and always in the right spot.

I LOVE how the Amerks protect Leggio. Why the hell don't the Sabres do that?

I missed who was in the scrum, but maybe because Myers isn't Finley?

Girgensons so far a lot more noticeable this game than last. Seems like he's got a quick learning curve.

I noted in GDT #1 that Pysyk shows signs of being a shut down D-man, and I approve this message. He did NOT seem out of place at all either last night or tonight.

True, but I'd keep him in Amerk gear for as long as possible. (Of course, with the lockout going that could be quite a while...) There's no need to screw up his development as a pro unless an emergency arises.

Girgensons draws an interference call at the blue line, Amerks PP upcoming; let's go boys, tie it up!

Edit: NM Girgensons get the call, sigh.

I always said Pysyk's style of play reminds me of Lidstrom.

Almost 3-1 Marlies and another PPG; shot hits crossbar, Zigomanis puts in the rebound; refs announce no goal, so still 2-1 and Marlies PP.

...and that one will count. A failed clearance was quickly passed to Hamilton, who scores on a nice backhand-to-forehand deke from the end-line to beat Leggio; assists awarded to Gardiner and Kostka.
