Kyle Wilson

I checked Colgate's site and it lists Kyle Wilson as a senior.

Does that mean Minnesota has till Aug 15th to sign him, or he becomes a UFA?

Do you guys see Minnesota signing Wilson. He had a monster year in the ECAC.

On another Minnesota topic,

Is Adam Courchaine still in the system. I know he played sparingly for Houston (AHL), but I don't see him on the MIN HF page, either in the top 20, or listed with the other prospects.

Thanks.

If he's a senior I think that's the case. Part of me is tempted to say he'd be signed already if they were going to sign him. Just a guess though.

I believe Courchaine signed a deal with the Aeros; I don't think he's got an NHL contract.

I think Courchaine was in the ECHL most of the year....

I'm guessing Riseborough will sign Kyle Wilson to a try-out contract. We'll give him a year or two to show what he's got in Houston.

HF: With your collegiate career wrapped up, any chance that were all going to be seeing you in a Wild jersey anytime soon?

KW: Hopefully. If I had it my way, Id be there right away. Its still open for when they wrap up their season. Ill be talking with them and maybe see how things go. If all goes well then Ill be going to camp and trying to earn my spot.

HF: Have they been keeping tabs on you at Colgate this year?

KW: Theyve been checking up and have come out to see some games. I think they were impressed with what they saw at least I hope so. They said that they were definitely interested in having me coming out to camp to try and earn a spot on the team. I guess thats all you can hope for and well see how it goes/

He sounds like a real sleeper to me, a really smart player...A Lemaire player.

Don't know about Wilson, but as Ceber said, Courchaine was never offered a contract by the Wild, but was in fact signed by the Aeros.

According to the new CBA, any player between 18 and 21 is required to sign a 3 year entry level contract.

I'm not sure how the tryout contracts work though.

I think what the Wild does is have the Aeros sign them to a 1-2 year contract. The Wild then see how the prospect does down there and if they see potential, then they will step in and offer a contract.
