I could really careless, as long as it's not pouring rain I can find something to do on the weekends. Although if it is going to rain, pour like crazy on Sundays as I have a few games of football that can be watched.
Even if it is pouring rain its pretty easy to find something to do.

It looks like winter is going to settle in a little earlier this year. Accumulating snow is in the forecast for Saturday and Sunday, and the day time highs are going to be pushing 0 degrees.

Freezing rain out there kids. More than a drizzle. Almost pouring. Had to use window defrost continuously, wipers continuously. otherwise ice is quickly forming on the windows and you can't see anything.
Roads are screwed, sidewalks icy. Whitemud south blocked all the way from probably Highway 14 to 75st. Accidents on Gateway, its nuts out there. Bumper to bumper traffic on the rush hour.
Top speed not too high. Remember its easy enough to go in a straight line. Doesn't mean you can stop and turn in these conditions or take any evasive action.
Anyway most people going to be late for work this AM. just get there in one piece.

Been waiting for this to happen, wasn't a good sign when we first got the snow and people had problems driving.

I'm convinced these days they must be mailing out drivers licences when you send in 3 breakfast cereal boxtops...
Last week it snowed, roads perfectly fine and a person clogging blocks of traffic behind her while driving 40km/hour(if that) in sheer terror. She was gripping her steering wheel like she was seeing ghosts on the road. Really I can't imagine any circumstance in which this person legitimately passed her road test.
I dunno. Its the vast range of driving abilities, the outsourcing of testing and competency evaluation to private sector, that makes Edmonton driving so hazardous then compounded by the weather. Some people just shouldn't be driving. Period. Thats another topic..

Pretty much my experience too. I honestly think you should have to take a winter road driving in order to drive in the winter months here, and if they find out that people that are in accidents are from a one or two particular training places that these people have their businesses shutdown.
People act like they've never seen snowfall before.
Every damn year.
Never changes.
All these cocky Albertans going 90 in a 60 zone, then snow falls and they all turn into British Columbians.
With due respect to British Columbians though the mountain terrain and mountain passes in a lot of places make driving pretty tough in areas. For instance theres not many or any driving situations in Alberta that would require normal drivers using chains. In BC I believe theres several locations where it would be mandated on a winter basis and for good reason.
