Hes really talented but I dont believe he has the elite offensive upside like a Doughty, Pietrangelo, Karlsson have.
Offense and his fluid skating are his best attributes. If he's given that #2 role behind Phaneuf and gets to play on the #1 PP (he did quite a bit of that after Carlyle became coach), he can have a shot at scoring 50+. 60 points will depend on a lot of factors...like how good our PP can play etc.

I think that you can tell that Gardiner played forward growing up. You can tell that he still has some of those natural offensive instincts - like yesterday when he played that beautiful give and go with Nazem. I'm not sure that any other dman on the Leafs makes that play, aside from maybe Liles.

The best part is how our defense is super mobile. I love Kotska work yesterday was epic.

I know man, I meant in overall upside, reilly has the higher upside, though kadri has all star upside. yes I agree, kadri's hands are off the charts. reilly has unreal skating ability, and IQ

blacker started to play better as game went on, relied on in big situations. i know it's one game. but He didn't really engaged offensively, we know he has offensive upside. good skating abillity with nice playmaking skills. This season I really want him to use his skills more and not be cautious

Gardiner has all-star potential..... Rielly has potential to be slightly above that. (Wanted to say superstar, but then people would think Crosby/Malkin/Stamkos etc)

I see now why Burke wanted the option to call Rielly up should the lockout ends. And I could see him playing the 9 games with us atleast

First time I've seen him. Great numbers in AHL but not a sniff in NHL. Why is that? He looked as NHL-ready last night as anyone.

Hes a late bloomer if there was a season he would probably get a chance.

He actually might have a chance this upcoming season. If there is a season.

I'm not sure why people assume Rielly has a higher ceiling than Jake.

Sky's the limit for Gardiner, IMO. I'll reserve judgement on Rielly until I see him play a pro game.
