I don't think it was serious, I think it was just a bruise.
Still, the sound of pucks hitting eyebrows, or temples, or anywhere in that region is a little disconcerting. I'm way too sensitized to Av players and the C word. Especially when they always downplay them, or say it's nothing, or say they're symptom free.

Any chance Barrie and Pock will see time with the Avs after the lockout? Barrie looks about NHL ready in both ends and Pock looks like a guy who could establish himself as a 5-7 guy on most teams in the league.

Anyone know why there always seems to be so many penalties in the AHL? Most games there are at least ten, often fifteen.

I thought Barrie looked pretty good in his few NHL games last year. Still a few things to work on, but the guy has a good set of tools.

Probably just seems that way since your an Avs fan and the Avs never get calls against the other team...even if penalties are happening.

I think Barrie and Elliott will get some time with the Avs. I don't think Pock will play with the Avs but if he does continue to impress I hope they at least give him a chance because he can't be any worse than what we already have on defense.
