Right place at the right time. He gets 0 credit for that Cup, which is exactly how much he deserves.

Given the team has done nothing but get worse (which was understandable given the cap situation) and then remain at that level (which is unacceptable), Bowman is nowhere near the best GM in Chicago. He is one of the least proactive GMs in the NHL.

Emery's had 1 offseason, and look - the Bears are an elite team in the NFC tied for 2nd in total points scored and third best in points against.
That's what I call progress. He's easily the best right now.

EDIT: Your post may have been facetious (I haven't read through the thread at all so I missed the context), but I'll leave this here anyway for the inevitable person who actually does think Bowman is the best in Chicago

Stud center Kalil, for the Panthers, done for the year with lisfranc surgery. Huge loss for them... Certainly won't help Cam pick things up.

Eagles up 10 on Lions with 5:18 to go

Stafford having miserable game passing ,, Lions facing 1-4 record if they cant pull some magic out in final minutes

schwartz and crew should be on the hot seat if they aren't already. they can't even move the ball till the 4th quarter and are the most undisciplined team in the league.

Philly would be a really tough team if they had a good quarterback. One who doesn't turn the ball over 3-4 times every game.

lions and broncos should start a club for offenses who only show up in the 4th. though its really just sit coaching and playcalling in the first 3 quarters

Until end of this game the Lions DL was doing nothing and took several bad penalties

Bears OL is > Eagles OL as well

Lions win

Eagles coaching/players choked

Vick with his 3 turnovers again an issue (Including his pick that changed the momentum of game)

Calling 3 passing plays resulting in 2 sacks (1 idiot Vick ran backwards and lost yards) and another that nearly was safety on opening drive in OT = Stupid
