Haven't watched a lick of tonight's game. Glad I watched the Yankees win instead of going, lol.

Oh boy, went to check out the Alaska Aces box score to see how Dubinsky and Gomez were doing.

Gomez's name not on the box score. A quick Twitter search tells me that Scott Gomez "was cut" by the Alaska Aces. Thinking to myself, there's no WAY Gomez is that bad that he can't even hack it in the ECHL right now. Some more Googling discovers that Gomez never intended to play a regular season game for the Aces, and wasn't cut because he couldn't make the team.

Wow, had that story turned out differently that would have been an AMAZING ending.

Watching the Barons game, man do Eberle and RNH look god awful. I've never seen them play this bad in the NHL and I watched my fair share of Oilers games last year.

What's even more hilarious is that Gomez didn't even make the final roster.

Greenville falls to 0-2 after a 7-1 loss to Elmira last night.

Ouch tough 2 game stretch.

Penalty Kill has been exposed big time. Lack of any real AHL Players sent down has hurt too I'd say we had a better defense last season and that's hard to swallow in a lock out year.

Next game is Friday I'd expect some changes between then and now.

If the guy has been a call up option for the Caps then he should be just fine in the AHL as a top 4 Dman. I really just want to see how Miller, Thomas, Kreider and some of the other prospects that have a shot at the NHL do.

I dont think the Whale website is updated. What is the official Roster and lines???????????

What are the options for watching AHL games? The last was streamed on BSU but I don't think that's going to be the regular method. Are there other streams? Is it the kind of thing you have to buy a yearly plan for somewhere?

Just my opinion, but I strongly suggest to avoid AHL Live. Far to expensive for the quality of streams/customer service they provide. You can save more money by just streaming it from sports streaming websites like atdhe, firstrowsports, etc.

Yeah...I suspected that it may be low quality based on how ridiculous that first whale game looked.

Thanks for the tips.

Good job losing 3-2 vs. the St. John Ice Caps, already 0-2 this year.

Don't know what the puck Vernace, Pyett and Collins are doing on the Whale roster, same for Segal and Grant.

Parlett, Niemi, Tessier need to be in the ECHL, the AHL is one level too much for them.

Yogan and Thomas shouldn't be in pro hockey (yet), outmatched and it looks like the competition is too much for them.

Is Kolarik even playing?

Gilroy was awuful in the first game, much better in the second.

Cam Talbot please come back quickly!

Newbury, Haley, J.T. Miller and Kreider are making things happening, either physically and/or offensively.

Kyle Jean looks like a steal! Quick, strong, nifty, good nose and anticipation! Nice!

Do you guys really care if the Whale loses? I literally couldn't care less. The only think I would like is our players to play well, but if they still play well and lose, I don't give two *****.

I read THN a while back and they had a quote by a GM who said something like he doesn't care if they lose, because some of those teams aren't built to win. They just want their players to develop.
